Pleasant pub serving a good choice of tasty dishes and good beer. Our only reservation was that portion sizes are rather small!

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent, friendly service. Great food, old school Sunday roast. Very dog-friendly.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeVery pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. Good choices on menu with slight variations catered for, e.g. chips for mash
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent meal as always, unfortunately for us we can’t resist the fish and chips. Each visit we try to resist but it is sooo good we don’t have the willpower. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Lovely place to break the journey to the lakes .
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWhat a little gem the Wheatsheef is. From the moment I walked in to when I left the staff were always polite and friendly. Evening meals were really nice and tasty and the bar was well stocked - what more could I ask for. The bedroom was clean and tidy and the bed very comfy. I loved the notice in the bedroom about the church bells, I didn't even notice them unless I tried!
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWonderful food, great atmosphere and lovely staff! This is such a little gem of a pub.. huge credit to the staff who are all so friendly and welcoming and it’s very evident that this pub thrives from the great service and great food. Huge bonus that dogs are welcomed.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – Milnthorpevery good service with polite and obliging staff.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely attentive staff but so disappointed with the poor quality of the food this time Onion rings were inedible . Huge ,all batter with a tiny amount of onion . Roast beef in the soggy sandwich was stringy Noisy barking dogs on the next table eventually taken out Won't be returning
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat service, good food, excellent VFM and great walks from the doorstep. Probably the best Sunday lunch we have had in the South Lakes/ North Lanc area.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe Sunday roast was excellent - the baked marmalade ham was particularly good - as was the service from the very friendly and welcoming staff. Prices are very reasonable for such food quality food. A great find and a quick diversion when travelling back from the Lakes means we'll definitely be calling again.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely meal with my husband on Thursday 18th September. We had a large table to accommodate our large dog. Prawn starter, fish and chips and a cheese pie all excellent. Lovely staff they are a credit! Extra special thankyou for the staff member that allowed our camper to stay on the car park overnight. Very grateful. THANKYOU
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat food, delicious fish & chips. The service was excellent, both efficient and friendly.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe meal was excellent beautiful food and the staff were so helpful
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe have visited this pub a few times and the food is always excellent and service great but yesterday we met family for Sunday lunch, the service is always pleasant and efficient which it still was but the food was not up to the standard we are used to here, the plates were cold therefore food not too warm and the game stew was lacking any veg and the nut roast could have had a Yorkshire pudding equivalent and then we waited ages for puddings which were coolish again. Really disappointed on this occasion as we love meeting here.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely service and friendly staff and very tasty fish and chips! My only issue is the acoustics. In the dining room you can generally hear all the conversations at other tables even though you’re not close. Perhaps more soft furnishings or slightly higher volume of music? We will be back though!
