The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food very reasonably priced. We chose roast dinners ( also nutroast for our vegetarian guests). The food arrived all together for the 6 of us, beautifully presented, hot and with limitless gravy! Very polite, friendly staff . We will definitely visit again

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe have eaten at the Wheatsheaf a couple of times recently, after a long absence due to a poor experience in the past. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the renovations, and the friendly welcome we received. There was a nice ambiance, with candles on the tables, and the service was friendly and relaxed. I recently had the battered plaice and chips, which was very tasty, and a generous portion, while my wife was very complementary about her roast dinner. The pale ale was good, but I thought overpriced at £6.50 a pint! On the whole, a very pleasant evening.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeWe stayed one night and had an evening meal and breakfast. The food was amazing and the choice at breakfast was brilliant - you don't often see avacado on toast with poached eggs as an alternative. The lentil curry with rice at night was the nicest I've ever had. We had stayed in two other hotels in the north west on previous nights and this was the best for food by far.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat pub / hotel. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cosy and warm and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Everything was reasonably priced as well, Our room was clean and exactly what we needed, added bonus with them being dog friendly as well. The breakfast was very good also! Very happy and would stay there again.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely welcome, great service interesting decor but….. The soup was fine The battered fish special was skin on ( no warning on the menu) The crumble was solid and soggy with little fruit The coffee was fine Good range of non Alcoholic beers The cost would have been fine if the food had been better.
