Has a lovely impromtu visit yesterday. Service and friendliness of staff made the visit most enjoyable. Food was lovely. Hot and tasty. Will definitely be going back. Only problem was there was no disabled toilet in main seating area. I have mobility problems and had to use my crutches and the help from my husband to climb stairs.

Stunning last minute visit last night, we ordered the kings combo special to share between 2 and it was amazing. That charcoal taste on meat is unbeatable, paired with fresh salad, rice and chips. The dips finished it off perfectly and we were stuffed! We got the rest to take away and have both grazed on it today with the bread still as soft and tasty as last night! We’ll definitely be returning again. Thank you

The Landmark has long been my go-to on matchdays with friends, but this weekend I went after the game with my wife and six-year-old son for their first visit. If anything, it exceeded expectations. Despite the post-match rush, the welcome was exceptional. The team were genuinely kind and attentive to my family, making them feel completely at ease from the moment we arrived. It struck me again just how good the front of house is here. The food was, once again, outstanding. We chose the Pagoda set banquet for two, which remains the best way to experience the kitchen and is an absolute feast. Every dish arrived hot, fresh and full of flavour, with real consistency across the board. We also added a young-un-friendly chicken chow mein, which was polished off without hesitation. What sets The Landmark apart is its ability to deliver this level of quality and service even at peak times. Nothing feels rushed, nothing slips, and the whole operation runs with quiet confidence. In my opinion, it is comfortably the best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle. This visit only reinforced that. We’ll all be back, regularly.

Lovely food, beer and wine. This place has a lovely cosy vibe serving great food and drink in a buzzing part of the toon next to Heaton Park.

This was my first visit to bouquerones but it will most definitely not be the last. Everything from start to finish was absolutely unreal! I need more people to know about here!!! I came with my best friend and we ordered 6 tapas to share and a sangria each and everything was absolutely delicious and quick to the table. The garlic aioli was out of this world!!! And the service was amazing xxx

First time coming here, really excellent, as good as Spanish food in Spain. Better than most tapas restaurants in the north east. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back

We picked the Landmark Oriental restaurant as it had a large gluten free menu, something us Coeliacs have difficulty finding in Chinese cuisine. The decor is nice and the staff both friendly and knowledgeable on gluten free issues and options. We had shredded duck to start and mine came with lettuce leaves to act as wraps and my partner had the normal pancakes, he had Hoisin and I had plum sauce, the duck was amazing. We had 3 different main course dishes, which included sweet and sour chicken, all of which were GF and extremely tasty, even the fried rice and prawn crackers were GF. For the first time in years I could enjoy so many choices of GF Chinese food. I would like to thank the staff for making sure I had a safe and very tasty banquet.

We went to the landmark for my dads 80th. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. They were extremely considerate and accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious. We had a lovely evening, thank you I would highly recommend the restaurant.

This was our fourth or fifth visit so far this year (2026). It has become our go to restaurant in Tyneside. We love our Spanish foods and there are other god tapas places in Newcastle, but this is head and shoulders above the rest, Great food and drinks, friendly staff and excellent service. Standard menu is supplemented by specials and, at certain times of day, there is a 3 tapas for £18.99 offer. Can't recommend it highly enough. PS If you're a red wine drinker try the Guv'nor as recommended on the wine list

I loved the service from the lady waitress we had , but Im sorry I didn’t enjoy the meal . I had the crispy squid which was a very small portion for the money and Im not sure it was fresh. For my main course I ordered chicken pieces on a bed of the aubergine sauce , I was very disappointed. I thought it came with rice but it didn’t and it was just very sickly and the chicken did not have a lot of flavor. Not a lot to it , maybe I just picked the wrong thing. I won’t be in a hurry to return.

Really nice restaurant, good food, excellent friendly service. We are regular visitors to various parts of Spain where we’re used to high quality, fresh food. Here was compatible with that. Portions of food though were small and we would have expected more for the price. Well will, however, return.
