Lovely little trip for tea and a catch up with friend after work. Food was fabulous as always although the chips were a bit on the hard side which is unusual for here as usually amazing but apart from that fabulous.

Last night was the second time I've been to Kafeneon, a second work do. We'll be back again for sure. My wife has a nut allergy and they were to easily cater for her which was very reassuring.

We come here everytime we visit Newcastle as the food is amazing, we booked for my Husbands birthday on Sunday 13th August, unfortunately we were really disappointed with the food, clearly there’s been major cut backs, the starter we always have had been scaled right back and bulked up with chillies and olives which didn’t go with the dish at all, very limited choice of main courses so we couldn’t have what we came for, what we did choose was below average and not at all special for a birthday meal, service was ok but felt very rushed and nothing like my birthday meal we loved in January! Overall, sorry guys, really disappointing ☹️

amazing food !! ..so tasty and well cooked. traditional Greek taverna vibes .. we sat upstairs , there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere , staff were great . my daughter and I shared the mixed mezzoe,so good !!! ..I f anything it was just too much for us to finish but we are quite small eaters ..couldn't fault kafeneon.. cant wait to go back
