We were at kafeneon at 5.30 on Saturday 1st July, after the theatre and it was plate day. We did book a table thankfully. It was really busy but service was just as good as usual. The food is lovely. Always good friendly service. Our number 1 choice for greek cuisine.

The family took me to this gem of a Turkish restaurant for my birthday. The restauramt is easily located with plenty of parking nearby. We received a friendly and warm welcome from each member of staff. I elected for the veggie guvec and my wife had the veggie moussaka both of which were extremely tasty and in good portions. The wraps which others had and the ribs and wings were reported as excellent too. I will definitely go back soon and would recommend it for it's variety of dishes, the friendly service and the value for money. Thank you all at Red Mezze

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Newcastle. Relaxed and informal and really great Greek food. Love the Greek Mezes sharing platters, very generous portions.

Love this restaurant. Whilst our daughter has been at university, it has been the restaurant in Newcastle that we’ve wanted to return to again and again. The food is delicious, service is excellent and you feel incredibly well looked after. Value for money is also excellent.

One of our top restaurants in Newcastle, great atmosphere in the heart of the Bigg Market, outside seating area was fabulous, service was excellent, friendly staff, great food as always. Would recommend booking in advance on a Saturday as gets really busy . Will be back again and again.

The food and service were amazing. We had the sharing platters and would definitely recommend you try them. We would have ordered too much but the lovely staff member kept us right. 10/10 and will be back again soon

Second time eating here in two weeks and wasn't disappointed. The food is lovely and the staff are fabulous. Food arrived promptly and the service was great. Definitely be back.
