I came here for my birthday as it is one of my favourite restaurants to visit. The weather was very nice so we decided to sit outside and there was plenty shade from the sun. The staff here are so friendly, they always have a smile on their face and value their customers a lot. The food is amazing and after recently visiting Rhodes I can say it is the most Authentic Greek cuisine we have tried in the area! 5/5!

First visit lunch time menu, great value for money, size of portions very generous, food was lovely, service and staff welcoming and friendly, nothing was a bother. Would definitely recommend a visit, hopefully we will be back soon xx

A gem in the heart of Newcastle. Food was incredible, I wish I could have eaten more. We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere, food and service!

Visited with a couple of friends for a catch up. Service was really good and the food was absolutely delicious and such good value as well for the quality and amount you get. Will definitely be coming back again soon. Only marked down on atmosphere because a large table was seated behind us and they were so loud it was hard to have a decent conversation. Maybe don't seat big groups near small tables to avoid this. Overall though highly recommend.

Enjoyed a superb meal at Kafeneon on Thursday night. Simple start of delicious olives, feta and chillies as we wanted to leave room for the Meze. Incredible portions of chicken Souvlaki, Moussaka, Beef Stifado, Pork Gyros, Greek Salad, Houmous, Tzatziki and pitta bread...all of our favourites on a plate. The best greek food outside of Greece. Nice wine too. Special mention to the staff who offered a friendly welcome and lovely service. If in Newcastle you have the chance to pretend you are in Greece if only for one night.

A lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff can't do enough for you. The food is excellent. Very large portions and great value. We will be back.

Love it here so much! I've celebrated so many things in Boquerones, this week being a new job. Food, drinks and service are consistently excellent. Will be back again soon!

I've been wanting to come here for ages and after being unwell for almost a year this was my first proper meal out. Needless to say they did not disappoint, the food was as lovely as the staff. I did have to leave after a short time as I was feeling unwell but that was nothing to do with Kafeneon. They were very understanding and boxed up the remaining food for me to enjoy later. I will definitely be back when I'm fully recovered

Another superb meal at Kafeneon! We needed a gf option and a vegan option and it was sorted so easily. Atmosphere was fab.
