Lovely meal and reasonably priced. Generous portion sizes and very tasty food. Service was very good to. Was first time here and will definately return.

Had a fab meal with friend , I booked her as you had a gluten free menu , the food was amazing and a good price . Only negative and made me feel a bit uneasy was when the staff placed my meal down they didn’t refer to it as being gluten free and I had to ask as my friend had ordered the same off the main menu , When it came I was given the one with pitta bread in side that wasn’t gluten free . Luckily I asked and he did correct me saying which was gluten free , but apart from that I had a fab time lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

Been going here since I was about 10/11 years old, so the last 15/16 years! Never been disappointed with a meal! Always delicious and will continue to keep going back for the foreseeable!

We were welcomed and shown straight to our table where we enjoyed lovely bottle of wine and the food was superb as always we are never disappointed and it was a lovely late birthday dinner for my husband

An enjoyable experience on a busy Saturday evening. We both went for the vegetarian mezze platter which was a good choice with plenty of fresh tasting dishes. The service is friendly and efficient and the restaurant has a good buzz about it. They didn't have Retsina, which was on the menu, but as second choice we had another bottle of crisp dry Greek white wine.

With amazing food and staff attentive to your every need there's no better Greek restaurant anywhere in the North East.

We visited Kafeneon yesterday and the food was amazing! Staff very attentive and food and drinks served quickly. We had a variety of starters and mains and were all delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

Great food and excellent value with first class service

A most enjoyable dinner. A wide variety of special dishes combined with good service. The mini steak from Block and Bottle together with the prawns were particularly good. Nice atmosphere too!

Superb meal and super service. We were a party of 13 for a family get together and our family that travelled from Australia said it’s the best Greek food they’ve ever had.

Lovely meal again with excellent service

We visited on Friday evening. We are welcomed by staff as we got in and promptly shown to our seats. The atmosphere was lovely, it was busy but didn't feel cramped. The staff were all lovely. I had the chicken souvlaki, which was amazing. My husband had the big fat Greek gyro which looked great. There was so much on there he couldn't manage it all. I would definitely book and go again.
