Our favourite restaurant in Newcastle, we took family there on Saturday afternoon 13th January. Great food, great service & great atmosphere as usual. We have converted the family & they will be back.

me and mrs c used to come here in the early days, #hotmazzei was lovely, but when the waitress brought the mains while Mrs c was still finishing off her starter! Making her move what she was eating to fit the plate on! I could understand if the place was busy to keep table moving, but the place was quiet! #mousaka was ok, bit stogie with very little mince. I came yesterday (14th January) for my birthday, first time I had been, I had been recommended by a friend, and I was not disappointed , the food was lovely and well worth the money, service was good and overall a lovely place to come to, I will definitely be returning soon! Thank you

We were on a weekend break in Newcastle.This restaurant was recommended to us. We had a lovely evening,lots of food which was lovely. We have holidayed in Greece many times, love Greek food and are very familiar with many dishes. This restaurant did pass our test it was great.

Another lovely meal at Kafeneon. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and professional.

No matter when you visit Kafeneon, you will always receive a friendly welcome, the staff are both attentive and friendly. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I had Beef Stifado and my hubby had Lamb Kleftiko, both were delicious. We’ve been several times and will definitely return, I can highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant. Speedy service and delicious food!

First time at Kafeneon, could not fault the food or the service. We were sat straightaway and after about 20 mins a group of 4 young men arrived at the table for 4 next to us, a few minutes later a fifth man arrived and sat on the bench seat next to my wife, she had to move along. He wasn’t having any food but drank a spirit from a bottle while we ate. The staff became aware and without us asking they offered us another table, we refused, as soon as the men had finished eating they were given their bill, they paid and left. The staff apologised again and gave us a couple of complimentary drinks. The staff were exceptional and handled the difficult situation professionally. We will definitely be back soon.

Food was absolutely amazing, we shared the meze platter and every dish was excellent, meat was so tender and full of flavour. Don't need to have a starter with this main course as it has so many different elements to it.
