Lovely meal for the 2 of us with great service in a warm, comfortable atmosphere. This was my 3rd visit and it never disappoints. There was 1 small complaint of a minor nature which I did mention to staff on leaving and made because I was not enthusiastic about having my soft drink served in what looked like a jam jar with a handle on the side rather than in a straight glass.

Lovely restaurant with incredible tapas! Every dish we tried was better than the last and I can't wait to return to try more. The cocktails were also delicious and our waiter Asif was very friendly.

Came to Kafe Neon on valentines day and to celebrate my birthday. The staff were attentive as ever and very friendly. Food was amazing as usual and great drinks choice. We've came to Kafe Neon many times and are never disappointed.

Kafeneon is a great restaurant, the food is gorgeous. The staff are lovely & welcoming. Fabulous service & lovely atmosphere.

Fab food and service!!

My partner and myself visited Kafeneon on Thursday tea time, our first visit to this restaurant and certainly wont be the last. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table in this cosy restaurant. We didn’t wait long for our food to arrive and it was really delicious. Can’t praise this place enough for good food , good service and pleasant staff.

Myself and wife attended again on Valentine’s Day for a meal and once again the food and drinks amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming and attend to your needs as required aswell as the chefs amazing stifado and would strongly recommend it. Bravo kafeneon

Perfect! I come to Newcastle for work and sometimes dine alone. The team here really look after me and I don’t feel “conspicuous “ as a lone female. Food is exceptional and the restaurant is my favourite in Newcastle. Service fantastic too!

Another fabulous meal at Kafeneon, the service was second to none we always feel well looked after and didn’t hesitate in the slightest to invite friends who were visiting the region to join us. Everyone agreed the food was wonderful.

The food and the service was absolutely amazing. However, the portion sizes were too big Perhaps should consider offering different size portion as too much food was wasted.

Red Mezze is our favourite restaurant in the north of England not just in Newcastle. We have been customers for nearly twenty years and have never had a disappointing meal. The prices are reasonable and there is an excellent range of menu choices. Service is courteous, efficient and friendly. I recommend the lambs liver, but really there is not much I would not recommend. Will be back again soon.

Great food and cocktails. Lovely food in fact. Only gripe was waitress being very agitated about us leaving because next table was due to arrive soon (tables booked for 90 mins). Waitress getting increasingly agitated about removing our plates despite not finishing the food yet and eventually thrust down the bill angrily! When we left (10 mins after got bill) the next customers hadn't even arrived. It just felt a bit unnecessary. A simple, "really sorry the next customer is due, is it ok to start finishing up/getting the bill now?" would have been better. We would have simply complied! Instead an unpleasant emd to the proceedings.

Excellent experience, table of 9 - mix of orders from the set menu and main menu. Great food, as good as we’ve had in Greece and regularly visit Rhodes. Excellent Value and amazing service. We will be back!

Second visit to this lovely tapas restaurant in Heaton, certainly won't be the last. The restaurant itself has a lovely ambience, intimate and cosy. They have a great selection of cocktails and drinks, the sangria is top-notch. We ordered 7 tapas dishes to share and weren't disappointed with a single one, they were all served piping hot and were absolutely delicious. It would be hard to pick a favourite dish but the chorizo and baked feta both worthy contenders and I'd definitely order them again however, that said, everything else was so good too. The portion sizes were generous too, we did not leave feeling hungry which has happened elsewhere after tapas. The service is great too, attentive without being intrusive and super friendly. Definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again.
