Our Family lunch at The Last Inn Newport on 17/11/25 . The Service from all staff and Food was excellent we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch Thankyou to all .

Myself and my husband have not been hear for a while due to having a daughter and not getting much time for ourselves. We decided to book last minute at the last as meals have always been good. Well what can I say we were really disappointed from the moment we arrived. It was chaotic around the bar area but we did get shown to our seats and given menus. 25 minutes later no one had come to us or offered us drinks!!! We were just sitting there. I asked my husband to go to the bar but on his way he asked a server if we could order drinks. Well we then managed to get our food order in while we got our drink order in. 10 minutes still waiting no sign of drinks tbh at this point I felt like cancelling everything and walking out as didn’t want to spend my money hear. I had to ask again where our drinks were and they then came straight away. Food was average not as good as it use to be My husband had the pie which I think he enjoyed I had a vegetarian option a burge it was not great like mush in a bun. Chips have changed they were more like wedges . We paid and left but to be honest will not be coming back in a hurry . I feel service wasn’t great and it wasn’t that busy so I’m not sure why!!! Maybe understaffed or they just can’t be arsed who knows but such a shame as this was the first pub we came to when we first moved to Shropshire in 2017 and loved it .

Had a birthday meal for my partner, food was lovely and freshly cooked, partner had the tomahawk steak and it was cooked to perfection and the meat was first class. Good choice of drinks, we were both very happy with our first time at the Last Inn, thank you

We booked a table for Sunday lunch at 3pm. Food was fine and quite tasty but the place wasn’t at all busy and, as a consequence, there was little or no atmosphere. Service was friendly but somewhat surprisingly not very quick. Sort of 7 out of 10 overall.

Lovely Sunday evening meal, 1 Roast Beef 1 Vegetable Roast Both meals were delicious, hot and very tasty.

Hopefully just a blip . . . . . . . We are regulars and have had many lovely meals here. Our last visit was a disappointment however. Food covered in black pepper, soggy chips and dry burgers. The serving staff were amazing (as always). Just let down by the food this time

Nice place with good service. It was a quite Saturday afternoon so there wasn't any pressure on the kitchen. However unfortunately for us the food was average to poor. Starters over cooked. Crab cake was a hard crusty mainly empty shell containing a small amount of mashed potato. I did complain to the server but I should really have sent it back. The Black and Blue burger very average. Black pudding under cooked. Maybe it was the chefs day off I dont know but poor food meant poor value for money.

Lovely pub, great staff. First class food. Great for couples, friends or families. Great value for money.

The food was really good. First time in a long long time all of us had been but The Last Inn did not disappoint.

i recently dined at The Last Inn and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The food was nothing short of exceptional, with each dish bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. i highly recommend The Last Inn for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon!

Booked for Sunday lunch took relatives having told them it’s good there and we were really disappointed. Waited a long time for drinks had to call a waitress in the end the food took a while to come asked if we wanted and sauces with the meal and they came as we were finishing. I wouldn’t mind so much but the place was virtually empty!!! Never had this problem before but it was embarrassing when you have taken other people with you. Won’t be visiting any time soon.

Fantastic Sunday roast, couldn't fault one bit of it, we know whilst we were in their ppl were complaining and we felt so sorry for the staff, due to we were eating the same and it was lovely. The staff dealt with the problem correctly and some professionally. We will definitely be returning due to our little one doesn't really eat and he ate all of his lunch and pudding. Thanks again for also giving us a quieter corner too

What can I say one of the best bottomless brunch we have ever done. Our glasses were never empty and the atmosphere was fabulous! Natural Affairs were out of this world and kept the party atmosphere doing from the start to the end. Staff were lovely and nothing was to much trouble! Shame we can't add photos on here to show the fun we all had! Food was lovely and will definitely be booking again!

We have been to the Last Inn a few tines and thoroughly enjoy the visits. The staff are very friendly and helpful The food is excellent will be returning many more times in the future
