The food at the Last Inn is consistently good and portions are fairly generous. Ate here on a Wednesday evening and really enjoyed the veggie burger. Staff were helpful and friendly and the food was excellent.

As a local I have frequented this pub a number of times under various management. Generally the food and service has been good. However on Mother’s Day this year, it was a different story! We were served chips that looked like came from the local supermarket frozen and oven cooked, and their signature burger well I rarely complain about food but this time was inedible, the patties were were like rubber and cooked on a griddle that had not been cleaned so left the burger tasting and smelling burnt. The attitude of the shift manager was awful and after I told him to go see for himself instead of owning the mistake he brushed us off and flippantly just said it’s taken off the bill. Whilst I would like to say I would be back and out this down and one off busy day poor service and tired chef I do t think we will! Really sad, could do better!!

It was a lovely meal, with quick service and tasty food. The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was a lovely temperature. The chocolate brownie pudding was beyond amazing, definitely recommend!

Came for a pre-Mothers Day treat and really enjoyed the meal. Nice, uncomplicated pub food for a very reasonable price.

We came for Sunday lunch yesterday (18.4.24). Originally a table of 8 then we were joined by another 2 people who were accommodated no problem. The food was amazing, which is why we’d invited our friends to join us as we’d been as a family a few weeks ago & had the best Sunday lunch we’ve had out anywhere ever before. The beef just melts in your mouth. However the service was absolutely appalling. It took 1hr & 40 minutes before our food came to the table. In all we were sat at our table for 2hrs 30 mins for just one course. It simply wasn’t good enough. Tables who had come in after us were served & in some instances even finished before us & had left! I appreciate one of those was a table who had pre-ordered but the others were not. We were going to stay for dessert but we didn’t want to waste anymore time sat there. It was a real shame because as I’ve stated above the food was amazing but the service was absolutely awful. When we did ask for the bill we were told that someone had already been to the bar & paid for our food . . . interesting as no one had left the table! We obviously queried it & indeed went to the bar to settle our bill. Is the secret to better service to pre-order?! This was never made clear to me at the time of booking. Unfortunately our guests are adamant they won’t be returning. We probably will but we won’t be just booking & ordering at the table. We will have to pre-book which is a shame as sometimes you change your mind.

Absolutely awful experience- really disappointing. Terrible service, insane wait for food with no drinks offered either after the first round, inaccurate allergy advice and really poor food when it finally arrived.

Great Sunday roast. Excellent food, service and atmosphere.

When we arrived there wasn't any sraff to be seen for some time before we were attended to.we ordered the large Sunday roast. We found the beef under cooked and very tough and difficult to chew. Practically unbeatable. Didn't enjoy it at all. We paid and then realised when we got to the car we had been over charged as well. Will not be going back again.

Met by the barman who was friendly and showed us to our table. Initially, pub was very quiet. Food ordered, and not much wait before it arrived. Excellent quality and decent quantity. Could have done with the plates themselves being warmer, but a small gripe, given that the food was very good. Wine (Merlot) also very nice - shame I was driving. I didn't have dessert, but my partner and my mother did and both enjoyed (apple crumble). All served by an attentive, pleasant young lady. Pub did fill up a bit, but not busy - to be expected I think given it was mid January. Bill arrived, and for 3 people I thought very good value for money . I will visit again.

Ordered 2 meals, one meal was fine but the 2nd meal was accompanied with cold vegetables which we sent back. After the first meal was consumed, the 2nd meal complete with hot vegetables arrived, so both ate alone. You would have thought that as the place was virtually empty they could at least provide 2 hot meals. Given 10% discount on the price of the cold meal only. Very disappointing, what a shame as it has been a while since we visited and expected it to be nice.

New-years eve , food as always "excellent " Only down side booked table over phone to request specific area to sit , booked but when double checked 3 weeks later no booking found , new booking via on line with same request this time confirmed by text . Made a visit two days before booking whilst have food and drink ,booking was confirmed yet again ,day of booking totally different table right at the back of the restaurant, no attempt was made by manager even thro what I booked was confirmed via text and in person Spoilt part of the evening .

Welcomed by bar staff and shown to a table. Nice choice on lunch and main menus, both of which offering great value. Food was fresh, hot, tasty and decent portions. Decor and atmosphere could benefit from a little attention, but overall very satisfied with the experience.

Amazing food and excellent service. Need a new Christmas tree in restaurant. It looks very sad
