Our first time at Hopping Hill Restaurant. The food was excellent although we thought the lemonade was expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to home as well.

Stayed at Hooping Hare for a rugby match at nearby Saints. Food was superb. We were disappointed to find they had sold out of lamb as extremely busy but turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we had the best beef we have ever eaten in a restaurant! Everything was beautifully cooked, same for the breakfast the next morning. Would recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning! The staff were very cheerful and welcoming too!

We have been visiting the Hopping Hare for many years, and have held many family milestone meals there. It is always great value for money, exceptional service and amazing food!! We will visit again soon, and I highly recommend.

Really enjoyed the restaurant atmosphere, waitress service was excellent and food delicious. A little more expensive than we would normally pay but well worth it.

Absolutely wonderful! This was our first visit to the Hopping Hare and the experience from start to finish was amazing. We were meeting up with family and had 3 children with us and the staff couldn't have been nicer. On top of that, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the choices made a nice change from the usual pub menus. We will definitely be back despite it being the best part of 3 hours drive away. Next time we will just have to stay!!

Sunday last was our first visit to the Hopping Hare. We had an early booking which paid dividends, as the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Our dietary restrictions were catered for well. Would have been happy with smaller portions. Great atmosphere. We will definitely return. As more people arrived it became clear that there were many regulars.

Really excellent Sunday lunch. The starter was an open ravioli which was delicious. The roast beef was beautifully pink and tender - I guess that it has been cooked sous vide . Portions are very generous with a great selection of vegetables. A very tasty gravy and a huge Yorkshire completed the plate. The staff are really helpful without being intrusive. A great choice of wines and non alcoholic drinks.

Six of my friends and I went to the Hopping Hare on Wednesday evening for a leisurely meal . We were greeted by very friendly young members of staff who showed us to our table. The choice of food was excellent particularly the specials and we all had a great meal and drinks . Would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for good quality and great service .

Had a family pre wedding meal on Friday 12th September 2025 and found the food to be of excellent quality and good portion size.All food was pre ordered and all our dishes arrived hot and very well presented.They only small complaint was that the two risotto dishes were a little over salted,but not a real problem. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

We eat regularly at the Hopping Hare and always go back as the food is so good. Yesterday's meal was superb - I had the rump steak from the specials menu and it was a very succulent and perfectly cooked. I think the prices are very reasonable given the quality. I always find the staff friendly and attentive. Five stars.

Our group was large (13) and was a surprise birthday meal for my husband with family of all ages attending. I can’t praise the Hopping Hare enough for their wonderful service, all food got served at the same time on hot plates with impeccable waitress service. The food was outstanding and my family amazed at the way we were treated. I can’t thank them enough
