The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe are frequent visitors to the hoping hare it’s my husband’s favourite place to eat .our meal last night was excellent from start to finish service & staff first class even tho the restraint was really busy with a wedding party the standard was still excellent .Thank you hoping hare until next time .
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat Sunday roast. Beef was excellent and service very good
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonStayed for one night and had dinner in the restaurant, setting was beautiful, lots of sparkling glassware, staff very friendly and efficient and the food was lovely, steak and fish both perfectly cooked, would definitely book again next time we are in the area
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonGreat gasto pub with good food, and service. Loved they even had 0% San Miguel on draft. Food was exceptionally good.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonEverything was perfect. Table looked lovely. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was excellent. Would highly recommend, could not fault anything.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonFirst time back to this restaurant for many years and pleasantly surprised. Lunch visit booked on line. Only had a main course which was the venison. This was delicious. Venison was perfectly cooked with a collection of interesting and well cooked accompaniments. The meal was beautifully presented and hot. Only niggle was the poor selection of wines especially by the glass. It resembled a wine list from decades ago with a very predictable and uninspiring selection. A wine list should serve to entice and encourage customers to try new grape varieties and blends alongside some of the more popular choices. In my opinion the wines on offer were very expensive and didn't provide the choice and value for money to compliment the standard of food. I will, however, look forward to visiting again.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonBooked a meal as we had heard good reports about the food. We were very happy and had a lovely evening, the staff were great ,quick and helpful.Service was great, food was lovely and very well presented .One small observation was that the potatoes were not very hot for both me and my wife, .I am normally disappointed with deserts as they can be shop bought and dressed up, but the stick toffee pudding was superb.A great night and will be back
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonA very tasty meal. good vegetarian selection. Well presented in a nice environment, with very attentive staff. All you could ask for!
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonFood is always very good here, it is our go to restaurant., especially for Sunday lunch, but this evening the roast potatoes were not properly cooked, didn't matter too much, we still enjoyed our meal, couldn't be bothered to complain, but please improve for next time; hence my score of 4.5
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonThe staff were fantastic and the food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere. We will absolutely be back!
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonBooked this with my partner. I must say - the meal i had was one of the best meals i have ever had (venison). Every mouthful was savoured. I didnt have a starter as Sticky Toffee pudding was on the desert menu, and i cannot say no to that, also perfect and plenty of it!! Great service also - highly recommend. Prices are good for the quality of food.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonOnly my second visit, and just as good as the first. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and timely service. I had the roast cod and was slightly disappointed by the chewiness of the gnocchi, but the delicious creme brulee with rhubarb more than made up for it.
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonLovely venue and Great food .Never disappoints. However a particular younger member of staff really needs to brush up on customer service. Not very friendly, and abrupt
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonI would like to say a big Thank You to everyone at the Hopping Hare on behalf of all my family, We had my uncles wake on Friday and the Buffet was amazing and we was made to feel comfortable by all the staff. Thank you so much x
The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonWe have eaten with you quite a few times and have been delighted but last night we were disappointed. We both had the Venison and it was very chewy, both the medallions and the pie. There was also no contrasting flavours. To our taste and expectations, it wasn't good.
