Sunday Lunch here is one of our favourites. Great food and ambience and the service from our preferred member of staff is always welcoming and just the right mix of attentive and relaxed. Can't fault it.

Outstanding. Everything was perfect. The food, the atmosphere, the setting, the service. Haven’t been for a while however will definitely be making this my regular go to from now on.

A lovely meal as always. Minor criticism about the spinach which was very salty. A couple of minor issues with service - a mix up with drinks (soon rectified) and then a coffee ordered which never arrived.

I enjoyed a wonderful family dinner here recently. The food is always delicious and the service wonderful. The staff catered for our needs perfectly, including my daughters two young boys. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant meal I had pigeon Breast for starters my wife had the Soup, followed by Venison Breast & a Burger for my wife all so well cooked so tasty why we had Triple cooked Chunky chips I have no idea guess it seemed good at the time as we struggled to finish the meal leaving the chips was such a shame there were only a few in the restaurant but I guess Monday night is a quiet night did not spoil the meal will definitely return P.S. the Zero % Guiness at £6.20p a can was a little on the dear side

Best sunday roast!!!!

We visited for an evening meal as a group of 4 and were unanimous in our praise for the excellence of the food and service. We each enjoyed 3 courses and found the quality consistently superb. Will definitely be coming back!

Four of us had the roast beef Sunday lunch, it was outstandingly good, beautiful tender beef, lovely fresh vegetables and glorious Yorkshire pudding. I didn’t have dessert but the other three did, all different, looked and tasted gorgeous. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient, we had a memorable lunch, and will return! Thank you everyone! 5/5 all round

Absolutely Outstanding........Every Time. The food here is so, so good. The presentation looks like it belongs in a Michelin starred restaurant, and the taste is superb. I have eaten here seven or eight times since October, and the meals have been as good every single time. I can recommend everything I have eaten, starters, mains, and desserts, but as I have a sweet tooth, the desserts are my favourites. The chef even makes their own sorbets, (so far I've tried blackberry, cherry, coconut, raspberry, and rhubarb), but the elements they put together in the desserts makes them bordering on the divine. I can honestly say that every friend I have brought here to eat has also left saying they will be returning, and they were blown away by how good the food was. The only slightly negative comment from one of my friends was that the sticky toffee pudding was just too sweet, but I think most people who like that dessert wouldn't have an issue with sweetness. I will be returning as soon as possible. Go, you won't be disappointed.

First time we’ve been to the Hopping Hare, thoroughly enjoyable experience.
