Another great meal from a terrific menu. Service was a little slow as we understand the restaurant was very busy. However when our meals did arrive some of the main dishes were either cold or cool. Not ideal despite hot plates. Would visit again as we love the venue and staff are very friendly

Visited the hopping hare on Friday night for the tasting menu experience. This was truly exceptional. I told the kitchen that if I f I had to eat the halibut for the rest of my life I would die a happy man . Well done to the whole establishment and putting Northampton on the food map.

First class food & service good value for money The only issue that was a disappointment we and our friends live 250 miles apart & the restaurant is half way between both of us but there is no seating area to sit and drink and chat after the meal and with only 2 hours to eat before getting the bill dropped on your table clearly they want the table back A lounge area would be a good addition and would make the restaurant the eating out and meeting experience more relaxed and pleasant

Great food and service a bit pricey especailly the drinks, but the food was quality. Childrens puddings of brownie were a bit odd as almost frozen. We did enquire about this and seems they were normally served this way, however the service for the deserts was slow, so this may have been the reason. Overall did not spoil the meal

We had a lovely family reunion at the Hopping Hare. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. All tastes are catered for from fish and chips, Steak to Venison and vegetarian dishes. We had three courses and the portions were perfectly balanced. Service was very cheerful and attentive. Thank you for a really super evening.

1st time at Hopping Hare, took my partner for his birthday, the meal was fantastic and value for money, I can understand why they have won so many awards. My only criticism would be that where we were seated, as the restaurant wasn't full, we would have preferred to be seated closer to other customers, we felt slightly out on a limb

We had the Friday five course Taster menu, and myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding and we have booked in again for the end of February. We also stayed overnight at the Hopping Hare for the second time and the rooms are immaculately clean we had a lovely stay..

We spent Xmas day lunch/afternoon at the Hopping Hare, a party of 5 of us. Absolutely lovely, with a great atmosphere, good service, nice food, plenty of food as well. This was the 2nd time we went here for Xmas day and we will go back again. Thank you for a lovely day.

I booked this venue on recommendation for my Mother's 90th birthday. Sarah from bookings/reception kept in contact and put my mind at rest as the party of 12 were coming from North Wales, London and the home counties. Then the snow arrived but when I advised Sarah we may have stragglers due to the weather conditions she reassured me it would be OK. All guests arrived safely and our waitress Lynn was absolutely amazing so pleasant, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for her. This special birthday for my mum will be remembered. Thank you to all your staff as normally we are a difficult family but on this occasion everything was top notch. Well done!!

As always, we enjoyed a great Sunday lunch here. Service is great - really friendly and caring. The food is always good and a lively, buzzy atmosphere and the wine list is to our taste.

We were a group of 6 and the oval table was a perfect configuration and size for us all to chat. We all really enjoyed our meals, which were very well presented and the wine was great. The service was attentive and friendly throughout.

This has become our favourite place to eat. The food is amazing, they are very accommodating if you want to substitute an item of food. The waitresses are brilliant and give you plenty of time to enjoy your meal.

The food was good as it always is. The service was received was excellent, slight delay getting drinks to the table but they were busy.

Had our Xmas meal hear. Welcomed from the start by Evy. Brilliant young, interactive and funny lady who looked after us all evening. Great atmosphere, great food. What more could we have wanted. Don’t loose Evy and we"ll be back. Thanks

The food and service was as always very good. The Vegan starter was lovely but the main although looked great and at first tasted great was just so sweet. I know this is not a Vegan restaurant but I do feel the menu could be changed sometimes for the Vegan option. The main menu for everyone the food was excellent and presented very well by lovely servers.
