My family and I (6 of us) had lunch yesterday, New Year’s Eve and for all of us it was the best and finest food we have eaten in a very long time. We all felt that The Hopping Hare deserves at least 1 Michelin Star; beautifully presented, beautifully cooked and the service was excellent. Evie was very good remembering all our drinks and our names and the waitress serving our food was equally good, both very professional. It is not cheap to eat there but it was worth every penny. Thank you Hopping Hare.

Had lovely lunch at The Hopping Hare with my son & daughter-in-law yesterday. We always enjoy the food & the atmosphere. Never yet been disappointed - food delicious, staff friendly & helpful & lovely ambience. Highly recommend it !

Dined yesterday lunchtime as part of my mother’s 90th birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly helpful but at the same time unobtrusive . Portion size perfect and the quality of the cooking is the best in the area. Made to feel welcome and all six of us enjoyed their menu choices. Beautifully prepared and presented food. Thank you

We really enjoyed our meal and stay at The Hopping Hare. Food and staff were excellent, and our room was perfect. We would highly recommend for great time.

There were 20 of us the roast potatoes tasted old as if reheated several times we all thought they were bought in frozen but were told they didn’t own a freezer hard to believe, Brussels were raw turkey and beef were nice

Fabulous food & service!

We’ve been here several times and the food was delicious as always, however this was the first time we were seated in the brightly lit area which we all found too stark and made for a canteen atmosphere. Suggest ambient lighting would improve the experience. Whilst the service was friendly and efficient, the mature professional men in our group objected to being referred to as ‘young man’ by the waitress and found this to be disrespectful and patronising.
