It was a special occasion for the dinner, my birthday. It certainly didn’t disappoint for this. My friends and I had a variety of choices, from the tender venison, chicken, hake and cottage pie. All very tasty and served with a selection of vegetables. I would certainly recommend this venue. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Came for a family meal to celebrate my father’s 80th Birthday. Delicious food, beautifully presented and great service with attentive staff. A pleasure as always to eat at this lovely place. Highly recommend.

My friend and I came for afternoon tea. We had the gluten free option and the food was delicious and plentiful - especially the lemon brûlée and lemon posset! Good choice of teas too. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon - would highly recommend.

We booked a table of 16 for our daughter's 21st Birthday meal, and as usual, we were not disappointed. Quality of food service and surroundings is second to none in our opinion. This is an exceptional independent gem, providing fine dining using local produce at a reasonable price. Surprising that it is often overlooked as people assume that it is part of a chain. We would highly recommend the Hopping Hare for any occasion!

We chose the Hopping Hare for 18 of us to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Sunday roasts were amazing ( I recommend the beef!). The staff were very helpful and made everything run smoothly. The most important thing was that my wife thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great birthday! Highly recommend the Hopping Hare, both for the food and the high levels of service.

Really lovely find when looking for a new place to eat. Menu offered options for all the family who wanted a roast and burger options. Every meal was excellent and the service couldn’t be better, attentive and very helpful - all with a lovely smile. We will definitely be back and have found a new favourite place!

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with friends last Saturday. The place was very busy but the staff gave an exceptional level of service throughout. The food was of the highest quality and the whole place has a great vibe. We will definitely be returning.

We chose the Hopping Hare to meet some friends before heading to Saints for a game. We'd never been before but had high hopes - all of which were met. The service was quick when you needed it, patient when you didn't & the food was superb.

We took my daughter here after her graduation. My wife wanted somewhere smart as she was dressed up and the restaurant didn't disappoint. Food was nicely cooked and presented and was way above that you would expect from a hotel/pub. Friendly and quick service. Only negative was that wine was a bit expensive.

Stayed for a night with my brother whilst watching Northampton premier rugby . Position ideal 30min walk to rugby , staff very helpful, ate Sunday evening roast good & options very good . Rooms comfortable but not big . Suited our stay Breakfast & service really good options varied . Beer selection varied . Car park a big plus . Would stay again . Thanks all .

We, a party of 4, stayed after watching a Rugby match at Northampton - we found our rooms very comfortable but a bit small. The service and the food (we all had dinner and breakfast at the “Hare”) was superb and the room, food and drink was “real”value for money, could not be faulted and if we go to the area again would just ring and book. A fantastic experience.
