Food was outstanding. Tasty and flavoursome . Sunday lunch was spot on, pink beef was delicious. Chicken dish was delicious too. Not cheap but well worth the money, all ingredients were fresh and perfectly cooked.

The Hopping Hare – NorthamptonThere were eight in our party for Sunday lunch. All the meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Some said it was the best they'd had. The two vegetarians also enjoyed their meals, but would have preferred more choices, in particular, they would have liked a vegetarian nut roast as it was Sunday but had to make do with risotto (which they felt was a bit predictable). The staff were busy and worked really hard, so it would have been helpful if the menu had stated which items were suitable for vegetarians, rather than having to keep asking. It's not our first visit here (there were more veggie choices in previous visits), and doubtless won't be our last, but if we have the non meat eaters with us next time, we may choose to go elsewhere.

We were looking for somewhere special to take visiting family and we were very happy with the experience. The menu is varied and we were all very happy with our choices. The food was well presented and friendly staff provided great service. We managed a three course meal with wine and coffees and left feeling very satisfied. We will be back.
