The pulled pork scotch egg and the dark chocolate mousse and blood orange sorbet was amazing! However, we found a 2inch black hair in our main course and this wasn't dealt with very well by the staff. They weren't very apologetic at all which I was shocked by. Having worked in many restaurants and wedding venues we would have at the very least given a discount or given the main complimentary as well as apologising both from the waiting staff and manager on duty. We didn't ask for any discount as we hate to complain but they didn't even apologise about the hair.

We had a wonderful meal for a long service celebration work lunch. The team catered for 21 of us and the the service was excellent- despite the large group.

Amazing food...HH never fails to impress. We celebrated our Anniversay. Accommodating staff, great atmosphere. Will definitely return. Thank you.

We had a fantastic evening, we haven’t been to the Hopping Hare since Christmas 2021 and as ever we had a beautiful meal and the service was great. We used to frequent the Hopping Hare many times, but due to personal circumstances we have not been able to visit for a while, but we will definitely be back very soon

I had the Duo of Beef yesterday for lunch and it was absolutely delicious. We all came away saying how good the food was. Highly recommended.

Great find, great food and service. We really enjoyed our experience at the Hopping Hare. Great selection of dishes, tasty and beautifully presented. Very welcoming staff and efficient service. Thank you so much for a great experience. We traveled 45 minutes to meet friends at this halfway point and are so glad that we found this gem.

I have been a number of times now to the Hopping Hare for dinner, and as always been very impressed. The food and service is excellent. My only criticism this time was that although it was an extremely hot evening outside it was also possibly more stifling in the restaurant which somewhat tainted the evening for my daughter and I. I know it’s difficult to do much about it, but maybe an air conditioning system is required.

Always great food here and value for money. Service normally excellent but not so good this time. Kept waiting far too long for dessert menus and for someone to take the order. Wouldn't mind but we were the only ones in the dining room. Had to leave the table and ask the group of staff talking together at the bar to take our order. Far below the standards we have always had here. Staff always pleasant but not so efficient this time.

Love the Hopping Hare. Great atmosphere, food always delicious. I had a choking/funny turn on Saturday night and it was quite scary. The staff were concerned and helpful. I was ok after a few minutes but I felt sorry for the other diners. But I will be back, it's one of my favourites in Northampton

We were a bit late and the place wave was very busy but we were greeted with a smile and served drinks very quickly whilst waiting a very short time for our table. Service was great and food was delicious!!

Excellent meal on sat evening.we had two people with allergies which the knowledgeable staff gave us a fantastic meal experience for us all.loved the friendly atmosphere.we will certainly book again and recommend to our friends

Lovely meal at The Hopping Hare, the roast beef is just superb, great quality and cooked to perfection! Have only come here twice but the food quality, presentation and taste is just outstanding. Highly recommend the roasts, goats cheese panna cotta, and scotch egg, desserts are also amazing - you just need room for them!

Fabulous sfternoon tea on Saturday. There was a bit of a wait before our food was oroduced but we had drinks brought to us very promptly. The delay in food was due to the scones and quiche still being in the oven! Sandwiches were delicious, individual quiche straight from the oven, scones (plain and fruit) were still warm. By then I had to have a short break before I tackled the cakes! Even after the break I couldn't manage all that was on offer so the waitress suggested a box to bring them home which we gratefully accepted. We'll definitely be back.

The Hopping Hare is my favourite Restaurant in England, indeed the whole of the British Isles.

Brilliant meal as usual

Lovely food. Service was very good and prompt. Great atmosphere. You get what you pay for. The staff couldn't have been more helpful for the elderley lady who was staying the night. Thank you
