Went for the Wife's birthday, 7 of us eating and even before we went in could sit outside enjoy the canal and listening to the new lambs in the farmland. The meal as usual was amazing recommended the boneless chicken and 4 people had them and all said how nice they were and thoroughly enjoyed them. The pie and ham was ordered and 2 steaks all food was cooked very well. Only small thing was would of been nice for the ham to be warm/hot more like a gammon but can understand why they dish it like that. Otherwise once again staff were amazing very attentive and friendly and just had another great night at the Nelson. Thanks

Booked a Sunday lunch to treat my parents… we all had the pork belly and it was fantastic! My parents are chefs and they throughly enjoyed the food - hats off to the chefs! The service was great also, friendly staff and atmosphere. Our bellies were full and would highly recommend :)

Booked lunch for my partner and our grandson Saturday lunchtime. I cannot recommend this place more! The choice of food was great with a good children’s menu. The food was delicious and plenty of it, great value for money. Service was amazing and we were made to feel extremely welcome. Will definitely be back.

Visited for lunch on 24 March., with my husband and daughter. The service was lovely and the food was delicious, will be back and would highly recommend.

Food was fantastic. Was a very busy service as it was Mother’s Day. Staff were great, didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food. Highly recommended!

Another lovely meal at the Nelson. Food is always excellent and service is the same. All the staff are very friendly and attentive, but not over bearing. Can’t recommend the Nelson highly enough.

We go to the Admiral Nelson quite alot and everytime we go the service atmosphere is always very good. Excellent selection of drinks and the food is always of a very high standard. We went on Saturday 28th February and our meal was excellent tried the chicken bites and the flavour was good. I had the McLovin burger and it was really good. Our service was excellent as it always is and Amy looked after us and was very attentive to our needs and making sure we had everything we needed. Another great night out there and will always keep going back.

As usual fabulous service fabulous food and a great view of the canal and lock what's to dislike.

Booked for a family meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food, staff, atmosphere and indeed everything about The Admiral Nelson, lived up to and exceeded my expectations which, if I'm honest, we're already quite high. Nothing was too much trouble, service was attentive but not over bearing and everyone was more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of their meals. Can't wait to come back.

Enjoyable evening with great service, lovely atmosphere, very good burgers and an excellent couple of pints. Just what was needed on a winter’s evening.
