Another lovely meal at the Nelson. Food is always excellent and service is the same. All the staff are very friendly and attentive, but not over bearing. Can’t recommend the Nelson highly enough.

As always a lovely lunch. Good good, good service, lovely atmosphere.

We go to the Admiral Nelson quite alot and everytime we go the service atmosphere is always very good. Excellent selection of drinks and the food is always of a very high standard. We went on Saturday 28th February and our meal was excellent tried the chicken bites and the flavour was good. I had the McLovin burger and it was really good. Our service was excellent as it always is and Amy looked after us and was very attentive to our needs and making sure we had everything we needed. Another great night out there and will always keep going back.

As usual fabulous service fabulous food and a great view of the canal and lock what's to dislike.

Good Food & Beer, as usual - with attentive and friendly service

Lovely atmosphere, brilliant staff, very tasty food at exceptional price. What's not to like?

Booked for a family meal to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food, staff, atmosphere and indeed everything about The Admiral Nelson, lived up to and exceeded my expectations which, if I'm honest, we're already quite high. Nothing was too much trouble, service was attentive but not over bearing and everyone was more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of their meals. Can't wait to come back.

Enjoyable evening with great service, lovely atmosphere, very good burgers and an excellent couple of pints. Just what was needed on a winter’s evening.

Food is usually good. But came on Saturday afternoon & several items not hot. Soup was warm. Asked for mashed potato instead of chips for elderly relative. Charged £2 extra & again was only warm. Staff always friendly. It wasn’t the best meal we’ve had at the Nelson.

We had the Sunday roast and the quality was top notch (and the portion size more than generous). Staff were brilliant, attentive and highly efficient. Combined with the pleasant atmosphere in both the restaurant and the pub area it made for a very enjoyable experience and we will be back.

Me and the wife love eating out and trying new places. This place was recommended to us so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The place has a great feel to it, the food is superb and so is the service. We will 100% be going back to try something else! …..oh and the chips that came with the steak ! OMG they are quite honestly the best chips/fries I have ever had.

We’ve been to the Admiral Nelson a few times now and always enjoy its sharing roast platter. There’s always more than enough, it’s hot, tasty and nicely cooked but the roast potatoes weren’t so good this time as when we’ve previously been. Our boys both had burgers and my eldest said they were the best chips he’s ever had. If I’m going to be picky I feel that burgers dominate the menu somewhat and it is a little bit cramped on there depending on where you’re sat and how busy it is. But it has a nice atmosphere.

Sunday lunch , had better and a lot worse. Average, potatoes not great which is important to me for a roast especially as I’d ordered extra! Extra pigs and blankets very poor portion only three tiny ones so not vfm don’t order. 6.5/10 as pub roasts go.

Excellent service and food, the waiting staff in particular are brilliant .

Lovely pub that was pet friendly with an interesting menu. The food quality was great and the service was attentive and friendly. The pub was a bit noisy but quieted down towards the end of our meal. We don't often travel to this area but, if we did, we'd definitely visit again.
