Excellent lunch - food was extremely good and very nicely served. Staff very friendly and surroundings comfortable and pleasant. Lovely setting by the canal. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be back!

The four of us had a fabulous meal on Wednesday 10th September. The food was absolutely beautiful and the service was exemplary. We are certainly going to return.

My friends and I really enjoyed our fish and chips on Friday night and the lemon cheese cake was the best ever! Our table was in a good position too as we could talk and enjoy our meal as we only meet up every 5 or 6 weeks. ( so plenty to chat about ). Well done Admiral Nelson !

The food is a very good standard. The Keral cauliflower curry could have been a bigger portion.The ham and eggs was excellent.Both of us enjoyed our meals.Banoffee pie was great.

Food and service was excellent, will definetely be coming back. Belly pork and crackling amazing. Roast potatoes very tasty, carrots just needed a couple more minutes

We were a party of 5 for my daughters birthday and went to Admiral Nelson for Sunday Lunch. The pub was busy. Food we noticed looked good. Our roast beef was generously portioned and had a good texture and flavour, The potatoes and vegetables were good. The pork belly was also good and well portioned. Desserts we had were ok, bit expensive we thought. We ordered extra cauli/broccoli cheese also good. The extra potion of roast potatoes was a little mean for the money, the pigs in blankets were tiny, both of them, in a yorkshire pud with gravy poor value we thought. Lovely beef, excellent beer and good service on a busy day so all in all a good deal . Not expensive for what we had we all thought it was good. We would go back again if we lived nearer.

Great family meal. Very fussy children and hugely happy with choices. Staff great, understanding, helpful, quick. Loved our adults choices too

Incredible food, lovely friendly service. Great location We had the sharing boards … Sunday roast and the king Carne!! The food, superb quality quantity and presentation. If you want a meal with wow factor this is the place to be. Also great beer choice and perfect Guinness.

Off the beaten track but how lovely … Busy but welcoming Roast dinners lovely .

It was our first visit here and we were not disappointed. There were four adults in our party for lunch on Saturday and we all had items from the burger menu. They were all delicious, great chips and slaw and very generous portions. We had to halve the desserts as we did not want to miss out but could not have managed a whole portion each. The service was really friendly from all the staff who looked after us and overall it was great value. A stroll along the canal path afterwards was lovely too. We will definitely be back, as the main menu looks fab too. I highly recommend this to anyone. The only slight issue is the small amount of parking. We were very lucky that someone was leaving when we arrived, or we would not have had a space.

Booked for a lunchtime meal for 5 (2 children). Food was excellent, atmosphere was lovely and the team were very friendly and keen to help. Will definitely be back!

Evening meal for 2 to celebrate a birthday. Food and service were excellent, and the location is lovely, being beside a canal lock. Will definitely be back again.
