Absolutely belting burgers. I booked a table for my man's 40th birthday treat. He's a bit of a burger snob and touched passed 110%. Ive always lived the Nelly, but had yet to try the menu since the management change. We will definately return! The only thing.....Im thankful we walked over as the car park was full when we got there at midday. Will keep that in mind for the future.

Great food and service. Shame about greeting we got with the children. Booked on line was told that no bookings can be made for outside table. By the Lock.. But had conformation via email to say we where booked in. Doesn't say anything on line that bookings can NOT be made for outside Table

Lovely place and great food and service. Only negative was email confirmation stated for 3 plus people you get 2 hours, but we were told they need the table back once we had been there 90mins. I had taken my parents whom were visiting. Managed to finish dessert (no starters) but not offered coffee ect due to wanting to me back .

Wonderful food with excellent table service. Our waitress was right on the ball the whole time we were there. I really cannot find anything to find fault with. The menu has something for everyone and all done in an amazing tru country pub on the canal side. We will be returning here again and again and cannot recommend it enough. I have given 5 out of 5 on everything including value for money. Im my opinion, the prices were about right and what most people would expect to pay. In return, because of the high quality of the food we experienced 5 out of 5 is the minimum you could award.

We are regular customers as we have a boat moored in Braunston. Always good food and service from the staff at a reasonable cost.

Booked for 6 adults as a celebration meal and was not disappointed. Like our previous couple of visits, never with 6 of us, the service, attentiveness and friendliness of the staff was brilliant. The food only supported the lovely atmosphere and well cooked delicious meals we all enjoyed. One could argue the only downside was that the evening came to an end far too quickly - brilliant night, great food, excellent staff, good. Skye for money and a friendly welcoming atmosphere - what is not too like?

Nice place, quiet location next to the canal. Nice atmosphere and recommended.

Went for the Wife's birthday, 7 of us eating and even before we went in could sit outside enjoy the canal and listening to the new lambs in the farmland. The meal as usual was amazing recommended the boneless chicken and 4 people had them and all said how nice they were and thoroughly enjoyed them. The pie and ham was ordered and 2 steaks all food was cooked very well. Only small thing was would of been nice for the ham to be warm/hot more like a gammon but can understand why they dish it like that. Otherwise once again staff were amazing very attentive and friendly and just had another great night at the Nelson. Thanks

Booked a Sunday lunch to treat my parents… we all had the pork belly and it was fantastic! My parents are chefs and they throughly enjoyed the food - hats off to the chefs! The service was great also, friendly staff and atmosphere. Our bellies were full and would highly recommend :)
