Service was prompt and everyone really enjoyed their meals.

Had some good friends up for the weekend, so decided to bring them to the Nelson. As on previous visits, great food, great service, great atmosphere.

Second time eating here in three weeks. Excellent service and the food was fantastic. I’ll definitely visit again.

We had our yearly family catch up at THH this weekend. Family came from all round the country and stopped over in the hotel. Our meal was really lovely, the waitresses were brilliant and very attentive. On the whole it was 10/10 and I would totally recommend the hotel and the restaurant.

Came last Sunday 1st June for lunch . Ordered 2 Sirloin of Beef ( medium) which came out piping hot on red hot plates. What an excellent meal !!! Fantastic. All the veg was cooked to perfection and the beef was melt in your mouth. Thanks to Lyn our waitress and Craig in the kitchen. ( hope you enjoyed your drink Craig ). Be back soon. Oooh forgot to mention the lemon tart. Wow. Absolutely Devine……1

12 of us had Sunday lunch the roast potatoes tasted old as if left over from a different day, the plates were cold, the rest of the food was very nice.

Enjoyed a traditional Sunday lunch with a friend, the beef was tasty, moist and just pink enough. Veg was bright, colourful, fresh and tasty. The service was efficient but giving you enough time to chat and choose, offering advice when required.

Great service. Food was excellent. Great atmosphere & decor. Ambient lighting. Order taken on time & waitress came quickly with more drinks & mayo requested. Value for money and did not feel hurried. Seriously cannot fault it! We’ve been many times & will return when visiting family in N’hants. Dog friendly too so pooch came with us!

Wonderful meal with attentive staff in relaxed surroundings.

Our first visit, such a great setting & a perfect halfway rendezvous for meeting a friend. We were very impressed & most certainly hope to return. What a lovely surprise to be warmly greeted by the landlord who was once one of our pupils!! He has a wonderful pub in a lovely setting with excellent food!

Last Sunday I took the family for Sunday Lunch. Such a lovely dinning room. Excellent service, friendly and efficient. Food very good. Prices reasonable in line with far inferior offerings in Northamptonshire. Would recommend.

Stayed here twice each year in May for nearby super car fest. My husband found the place and it was a gem of a find. Lovely service and people, all so welcoming and friendly. Rooms perfect, modern, comfortable beds etc. Quiet to say its also a pub and restaurant. But not too large, ideal. What set it apart also was the amazing food! I love nice places for food, and this is so good yet so reasonably priced too. We have stayed as a couple and another time with our 9 year old. We all loved the place and will go back next year. Such a great price for hotel & breakfast too. Which was lovely, cooked to order. Definitely recommend
