Very quiet at 7 Wednesday, but convenient time and place to meet friends. Would like to visit at a busier time. Very well kept Landlord ale. Excellent tasty curries -served piping hot- and ditto halloumi with onion rings, but steak and ale pie seriously lacked taste and the parsnips with it had no taste at all. We'll come here for the curries in future and hope some of the other fare on offer improves. That shouldn't be too difficult.

Excellent food it was lovely and hot and tasty, service was excellent and the member of staff who waiter on us was very helpful and very pleasant, she was lovely with mum because she got dementia and as job cutting food up, and drinking out of tall glasses at 92 she does very well and she loves to come for meal and gives her time with family and outing from the care home. We visit the Hopping Hare restaurant fairly regularly and find the standard of food and service to be consistently excellent. Consistency is not always the case elsewhere but, to date, we go to this restaurant confident that we will be well provided for by their brilliant staff and leave having had a happy and enjoyable experience.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner with my dad, new member of staff I think Simon was lovely had really good service and a great character!

5 ladies had lunch on 29 May 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal, service by the fella from Tottenham was great!

Stopped en route from Alton Towers to Surrey. We had a table of 8 and the service was excellent throughout. Clean, modern, nice surroundings and more importantly the food was spot on. Best pub food I have had in a long while.

Staff were attentive and all the three courses ordered were fantastic. The presentation of all meals looked wonderful. Would definitely recommend a visit . Nice atmosphere in the restaurant too. Looking forward to another visit soon.

We were welcomed and given lovely friendly service during our two night stay for my daughter’s wedding. All staff were friendly and professional. Food v good. Also lovely view at the back of the hotel. Would highly recommend.

Amazing food & friendly atmosphere. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, and our waitress was super lovely. The food was fantastic, juicy meat, full of flavour, and amazing desserts! Each course came quickly & staff ensured we were fully satisfied with each dish. You definitely get what you pay for, some may consider it pricey but as an occasional treat or special occasion it's definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back for another visit soon!

Regular visitors and never disappoints. Sadly the wine is pricey . Make it cheaper . We would buy more .! We came by taxi.

We are unable to write a review of the food, service etc because we did not stay. We saw the menus at our table and were not impressed by the limited choice and the way main items and accompaniments were combined. Also we thought many items were overpriced eg about £16 for fish and chips or burgers.
