I booked a table for three for 9/4/23 to celebrate my 80th birthday. All three of us were delighted with our main and dessert courses, having decided to skip the starters in order to fit in the rest. Everything was delicious. The staff were pleasant, with easy rapport, and made us feel truly relaxed. Thank you. I am booking another meal today for two ….another 80th for a friend! Perhaps this bodes well for our 90ths….eating and socialising this well!

We went to The Hopping Hare for an early evening meal on Bank Holiday Monday, the food was spot on as always and very well presented, and the service was attentive and prompt.

I booked this hotel for us and our guests to stay on the night before and of our wedding, having booked but not looked around I was apprehensive. However I’m so pleased we have booked the hopping hare. We were pleasantly greeted at the door and after requesting to see the rooms, the waiter couldn’t be more helpful. He was attentive and reassuring our whole meal. The food was lovely, but the service was perfect. We are looking forward to staying in August.

We had a very enjoyable and delicious Easter Sunday lunch at The Royal George. We were sat immediately at our table, drinks orders were taken and service was very friendly and attentive throughout. The homemade sausage roll starter was superb! We opted for the choice of extra meat with our roasts, and our server kindly let us know we could mix the meat selections. The mains were all great, beautifully presented and very ample portions. We had eyed desserts, but were too full to enjoy them at the table. We opted to take away the salted caramel cheesecake and the chocolate lumpy bumpy cake, which were both excellent later that evening. A great meal for all of us!

Has been our go to Restaurant since it opened. Our favourite restaurant ever. We visit at least once a month and for all special occasions. The staff are excellent, the Menu brilliant. Added bonus for us is it is walkable!! Keep up the good work, see you on the 24th.

Went for a meal last night as we have had good food in the past here. But when we arrived we was only offered a bar menu. When I asked could we see the main menu we was told that the chef had left and that’s all that was available. I don’t understand why we was not informed by email or phone that this was the case considering I booked the table over a week before the day. So we just had a drink and left.

We booked a table for 6 people to join the Thursday evening quiz. On arrival we discovered that we had been seated in an area which would make it impossible to participate in the quiz and no other table was available to us. We then overheard the waitress informing another table of diners that half of the ‘special’ menu was not available. I cannot score the food as we left before ordering. This was an evening booked to celebrate a birthday and we were very disappointed. We like to support local businesses where possible but we will unfortunately not be returning.

My friend and I are regular diners at Northampton Hopping Hare . We are always treated in a friendly way, as are other diners. The food is good what ever we choose. I would recommend this hotel/ restaurant to any one. If you want a good meal out in a friendly environment the Hopping Hare is the place. Book early though it is very popular .

A lunchtime meal to reward ourselves for a busy two weeks. Food was great, service good and friendly, no waiting for our meals.

I booked a room for the night to meet family and to have a lovely meal, which we was expecting, from pictures and all the good reviews, however this wasn't to be. We were only given the option for the bar menu, all dishes were obviously from frozen and ping and ding. Beef burger was the worse I've ever tasted, probably 10% beef at most, and very rubbery.. very odd texture.

Party of 8 of us for Sunday lunch, the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing and it didn’t disappoint! Great food, very fresh, the young waiting staff were excellent, really attentive. Great value for money. The restaurant was full, so in these hard times it just shows - serve good food, train your staff well and deliver all at a decent price point. We’ll be back!

It was a Tuesday, so not very busy. We had the bar menu, steak pie and chips. All home made, even the chips. They were really good. Pie had lots of meat in. Overall, prices were good and it was very nice. Staff were lovely…. We will be back to try the a la carte menu

The food as always is amazing. Would have loved to have seen both a fish an alternative vegetarian dish on the Sunday Menu 19/2/23.
