The Apple Inn – BamburghSecond visit absolutely brilliant place, food and service
The School House – BamburghWe went on a Monday evening, it was fairly busy but there were plenty of staff who were very attentive. One of our group is in a wheelchair and they offered to move us if the table wasn’t right. I should add they have a ramp walkway so it is one of the better wheelchair accessible places we’ve visited. We all enjoyed the food - the chilli nachos as a starter was a large portion but declared lovely. I had the fish pie - good portion size and lovely greens on the side. It was one of the best fish pies I’ve ever had. As one of the group commented remarked - The Apple Inn does pub food but at a notch above your usual pub. We’d visit again if we are back in the area
The Apple Inn – BamburghI booked this for my husband’s 60th birthday and the food was absolutely outstanding. The service was first class and the staff went out of there way to make my husband feel special on his birthday.
The Apple Inn – BamburghFirst class food and service. Great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Booked to return already
The Apple Inn – BamburghFantastic Sunday lunch - our first visit - definitely not our last one
The Apple Inn – BamburghGreat place. Good service - friendly and prompt. Nice ambience - relaxed family friendly place.
Raffaello Italian – MorpethOur second visit, the first being last year, and equally as impressive. The ambience, food, drink and service were all excellent. We will definitely return when we return to the area.
The Apple Inn – BamburghVery nice restaurant. Food & drink & service was excellent. Only small downside was very hot & lacked ventilation making it somewhat uncomfortable
The Apple Inn – BamburghExcellent food and great service. We will definitely return and couldn’t recommend enough…
The Apple Inn – BamburghLovely food great atmosphere pleasant polite and helpful staff as has always been our experience
The Apple Inn – BamburghHad a lovely meal and the staff were very attentive, we shall return soon for another meal
The Apple Inn – BamburghThe food and the service are extremely good. We enjoyed our diner a lot. The taste of the food is super. The only negative point are the dogs in the restaurant.
The Apple Inn – BamburghExcellent food snd service
The Apple Inn – BamburghVery welcoming and friendly greeting on our arrival, excellent service and fabulous food, we had the king prawn scampi which was a special that evening and was exceptional. We can recommend without reservation and can't wait to return.
The Apple Inn – BamburghOverall a disappointing visit to the Apple Inn which we were recommended to. We we’re seated facing a wall, in a corner, which we light heartedly mentioned a few times throughout our visit, but no offer was ever made to seat us elsewhere. We ordered drinks which when they came we’re not as we had asked for. We were then forgotten about until after about 20 minutes when staff realised & apologised. We both ordered roast dinners which arrived about 10 mins later. The food was ok, but not very hot & the roast potatoes looked like 3 small sautéed chips not even amounting to 1 potato. The food tasted fine and we ate everything. No one came to check if everything was ok, but did ask when returning to collect the plates. I did then share my disappointment and was told they were busy and some money would be deducted from the bill as we were unhappy. I feel if you are excepting table bookings then being busy is not an acceptable excuse for poor service, & if food is going to be delayed then keep customers updated. If things go wrong then go out of your way to put everything right. Teach your staff how to speak to customers and not to avoid them when they are dissatisfied.
The Apple Inn – BamburghFantastic food and service. Would definitely recommend.
The Apple Inn – BamburghWe had delicious Shetland Mussels and a good beef burger but our shared bruschetta starter was really disappointing; the bread wasn't crispy and the topping, which was minimal, sat on top of what felt like a regular slice of bread. Chips were absolutely huge (one was about a quarter of a potato size) which is great if that's how you like them) but the ambience and the service were great. Also very dog friendly.
