Lovely meal in an intimate restaurant with very good service. If we come back to Norwich we’ll definitely dine here again.

Turned up on the wrong day and the team still did what they could to get us a table very polite and the food was lovely couldn’t ask for more thank you will be back soon

Food was delicious although we did wait to eat for about an hour after arriving! But worth the wait. Abit disappointed that after we said we didn’t want another bottle of wine ( which was encouraged ) we were told we needed to quickly vacate the table. I would have liked to have sat and eaten more and I suspect we were moved on as we didn’t order anything else. Abit of a shame but food lovely

Absolutely sensational meal!! Third time visiting and this was the best yet! Had the tuna cerviche to start which was beautifully fresh with a lovely citrus dressing. The salad garnish was also beautifully prepared. We then had the fish rice for two. One word- bloody wow! I mean an absolutely sensational dish. My wife and I were both in awe of that dish. She proudly exclaimed how it was one of the best meals she’s ever had. Staff were absolutely lovely throughout the meal and really knowledgeable! Only tiny critique was that the broccoli side was overcooked and a little mushy. Didn’t spoil the meal one bit though. Absolutely cannot wait to come back and probably order exactly the same as we did. Thank you for a lovely evening!

A returning customer duo who both enjoyed their evening meal. We always have a fantastic time at Jorge’s with the ever friendly waitress and the delicious food that hits the spot. The Pão de Ló dessert was the highlight of our meal!

Have travelled the world and really enjoy experiencing different foods, found myself in Norwich for two nights looked up restaurants and decided had to try "Jorges", from moment of arriving was made to feel welcome by Anna, in short the service food and ambience of this restaurant went beyond my expectations, if you like Mediterranean food don't miss this place, my thanks to all the staff for making the evening a highly successful and memorable one. Thoroughly enjoyed the dinning experience. The food was tasty and service excellent. Would have liked the option of a non alcoholic beer such as Guinness. 0/0.

Booked a last minute reservation on a Sunday for 4 people, all the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with seafood tapas which was fantastic, the tiger prawns were a big hit. We then had some meat tapas, the pork ribs were an excellent balance of crispy and moist. Finally we shared one of the meat platters, the meat was all cooked to perfection and served with a chimichurri, all wonderful. Finally we ended with a coffee and a pastel de nata which was the best I've had. Will definitely be back!

We arrived 15 minutes early and had to sit outside and wait. Slightly disappointed that we were not offered a beverage whilst waiting. That could be a good place to capture extra revenue. Once inside the staff were excellent, the food was brilliant. We will come back again, but feel the arrival experience need to be better.

My wife Clarissa and I are becoming regulars of Jorge's. It is chiefly the food of course, always well done, always appetising, but it is also the service and the location. The two young women who serve us are friendly and helpful and we like bringing our friends, particularly for lunch, when it is most convenient for us (since we come in from outside Norwich) but maybe in the evening too in the future.

One of the best meals we have had! The food was superb and well presented, by lovely, welcoming staff. This is fine dining, but on a more relaxed basis. We will definitely be back!

What at treat Jorge’s is!! Can’t fault a thing. Food, atmosphere and service is top notch. Left feeling full and good, felt like we dined at Jorge’s house with beautifully cooked Portuguese food, it really was a delight! Thank you very much for such an excellent experience.

First time visiting Jorges after many good recommendations. The food was wonderful and can’t be faulted, as well as some great vegan options for vegans among us. I don’t like to give negative reviews but as someone who has worked as a restaurant manager in my lifetime, I’m always particularly observant of service - which I think could’ve been improved. Small details like giving us a warning that food would take a long time to arrive due to 2x dishes we ordered - wouldn’t have been an issue if notified on ordering - we had a waiter take our order and another waitress who then came over after 45 mins of waiting to explain food was taking longer than expected as we hadn’t ordered starters. The policy of doing starters of everyone who has ordered them first is not once I’ve encountered before in restaurants I’ve worked in; I’ve always done it mains away immediately if no starters were ordered -but every place is different. I also had noted vegans on reservation before arrival (a detail that could’ve been made note of for ordering) but we weren’t at any point told that the vegan dish we ordered would take longer than other dishes to cook and arrive. We asked for extra table water and a wine list after first drinks, both of which we had to repeat ask when they’d been forgotten. The service wasn’t particularly busy on our arrival, and the existing covers were on mains or desserts, or finishing up when we arrived at 20:30 and ordered around 9pm. Again, it’s not a super criticism as the food was excellent and we weren’t in a rush as such but I do notice these things around me in restaurants due to my previous employment and when the wait time was politely discussed with waitress she was fairly argumentative and defensive. I appreciate it’s fair to give space for explanation but had we had a consistent waiter (or waiter that was more engaged with requests or less interested in the waitress!) perhaps the communication could’ve been better. It’s a shame as we happily spent a fair amount as the food isn’t the cheapest and the service is included rather than optional - but fine, we had guests from London visiting and wanted to show them off with a good meal, and the food was again, very good - but sadly the waitress’s attitude at the end of the meal left a bitter taste. A mere apology or acceptance instead of defensive exchange would’ve ended the night on a better tone and would’ve likely left me feeling as though it was a mere oversight or unfortunate circumstance of bad comms and not worth me leaving a review or account of this, but sadly I felt we were the second to last covers in and a bit inconvenient to the staff as a later booking and thus a little overlooked for the potential of custom we were bringing. The customer is always right isn’t always the case, but in my many years working in hospitality, I usually go with that approach which generally brings in repeat business, happy customers and good word of mouth recommendations - so it’s a shame to not be able to fully deliver on that.

This was our second visit to Jorge’s and it didn’t disappoint. The selection was great, beautifully cooked and the service excellent. We will definitely be back!

What an absolute gem, went for lunch and will definitely be back. The service was first class and the staff never hovered over you or made you feel uncomfortable, but were always there to help and offer advice with any questions about the menu. Food was incredible too and again we weren’t rushed. We will absolutely be coming back! Thank you to all of the staff, see you again very soon.
