From start to finish, the most perfect meal. Service was fantastic, the meal and pudding were outstanding. We will most certainly be back!

Lovely lunch for 4 friends. All meals were excellent & staff couldn't be nicer.

We travelled 30 minutes to get here on a recommendation from a friend and I must say we were not disappointed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and the sweets to die for. I would definitely recommend giving this pub a visit,we will definitely go again in the very near future.

Despite a very wet autumn day, and busy restaurant, the staff were welcoming and the restaurant warm and cosy. The views across the canal and fields would be lovely on a nice day. We had a very nice meal, with some good specials as well as a varied menu. It was nice to have so many vegetarian options. The beetroot and quinoa burger was homemade, and delicious, unlike the awful fake-meat ones most places serve. The desserts were also very nice. It was busy with several larger parties, but the staff were very attentive and we received our meals promptly. It is slightly off the beaten track, but well worth a visit.

Absolutely beautiful Sunday lunch , just like grandma used to make! Lovely service and prompt serving. Would definitely recommend the food here , the rest of the menu looked amazing and other meals people were eating. Five star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

Evening dinner for 4. Superb food great selection and options. All tastes catered for, meats seafood, pasta, risotto and a specials board. Excellent staff that were attentive and unobtrusive at the same time. 1st time but not the last.

Saturday lunch enjoyed a very good duck breast followed by chocolate cake. Good size portions. All well presented and served

I had the nut roast, it was really tasty, and presented pleasantly to the eye. The vegetables were just the right amount, and plenty of selection. Fantastic meal, and the service was exemplary.

We came to take our uncle out for lunch who lives locally, but didn’t know where to recommend. We did a lot of searching on line looking at many eateries in the area, and was most impressed by the menu and the fact there were so many choices of gluten free options. We also needed somewhere with its own car park so booked a table with high hopes. We were not disappointed. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, polite and helpful. Service was attentive and just the right balance of being there when needed without hovering over your shoulder or being nowhere in sight! The meals were delicious, plentiful, hot and we didn’t have to wait long for them to appear. My husband an mother in law had dessert and said they too were very tasty. I felt the meals were value for money and we will certainly visit again, my mother in law has already recommended the Queens Head to friends and family. I have one teeny tiny gripe and that is that the cream on our Irish coffee was not pouring cream, but whipped….maybe even squirty cream. However that being said it did not spoil our lunch and we happily paid the bill and left a well deserved tip. Thank you Queens Head!

As always a lovely meal, great size portions and amazing value for money. Very friendly staff, we always enjoy coming for a meal at The Queens Head :-)

We had a wonderful Sunday Lunch at the Queens head yesterday. Food was absolutely delicious. We both had the nut toast Sunday lunch, the portion sizes were great, food hot and very tasty. My husband had the apple and sultana pie with custard for afters which was also delicious. The service was as good as it always is. We’ve never had a bad meal there . Highly recommend

The food never disappoints - our favourite is the Sunday lunch which is just excellent with great full of flavour meat and all the trimmings. We've tried a number of items on the menu and all are equally very nice indeed Our preference is to sit in the conservatory which just adds an extra open-space feel Latest visit was yesterday 20th October
