Booked a table for Father’s Day for my husband, me and our two young children. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. Theres so much on the menu it was hard to choose, we ended up having roast dinners. Best roast dinner I’ve had a long time, loads of meat with huge Yorkshire puddings and the dauphinoise potatoes were amazing. Everything tasted like it was cooked from scratch. The kids had a burger (slightly too herby for my very fussy son) and chicken dippers which were homemade. We’ll definitely go back.

Booked a table for four on line which is so easy & convenient. Meal was excellent, food was fresh & well presented. Service as always excellent. We sat in the conservatory which was lovely. Staff very friendly and we shall be returning

Excellent meal, nice friendly atmosphere and service. I had the paella special which was wonderful and so large that I couldn't quite finish it (unusual). My wife had the ribeye steak and asked for some extra veg instead of the chips advertised with it. The steak was cooked perfectly to her liking, and an inventive range of veg appeared. We'll go again.

Fantastic food and service

Had a great meal out with my mother. Haven’t been to this pub for a while but wasn’t disappointed.We had the belly pork and were a bit unlucky to get the fatty end bits. So we mentioned it and this was rectified straight away with a much better piece of pork that tasted great. So would highly recommend, good food and exceptional customer service with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely meal at Queens Head for our party of four. Waiting on staff lovely. Highly recommend- our favourite go to place for an early tea

Three diners most dishes were fine except for two prawn cocktails- few prawns which were hard to find in a heap of lettuce One diner was my guest which precluded complaint without embarrassing her

Had a great Sunday lunch here yesterday (26th May). Food delicious and staff very friendly and professional.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Queens Head. We were unexpectedly early for our booking (over an hour) and the ladies were very accommodating and seated us even though the place was very busy. The food was lovely, I had the belly pork and my friend had the roast beef and the portions were large! We happily eyed up all the lovely desserts coming from the kitchen but when it came to it we were to full to have one! Lovely atmosphere and super friendly and helpful staff. I'd highly recommend.

Enjoyed two very nice meals here in April/May. Good selection of food and service was good. Will be returning in September when we stay at Winston Farm Lodges again.

We had a nice welcome and we're quickly shown to our yable in the conservatory. The menu was good with so much to choice from. My sister had the duck and cherry sauce, which she said was beautiful. I had the gammon. It was juicy and well cooked, as was my sister's. We both enjoyed our meals

We brought some friends visiting from USA to the Queens head for lunch as we knew they would appreciate a good meal. We were not disappointed - everything was delicious; beef brisket was tender and so tasty , the curry was spot on, the omelette was light and fluffy,and the fish was perfect. Highly recommend , especially if you are gluten free as the majority of the menu is/can be made gf. Never been glutened eating here.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Good choice and plenty of it. Will visit again soon.

Lovely friendly pub, the staff are so helpful and nothing is too much. Proper homemade food prepared and cooked on site and all fresh. The portions sizes are enormous considering the low affordable costs. Will definitely return again.

Note that Wynnstay is a common name for hotels and hostelries around here. This one is NOT in the heart of Oswestry.

Favourite pub in Oswestry. A proper real ale place with good beer and a good but small menu. The very low ceilings and stained glass give it a lot of character.

Clive

Lovely grand old hotel right in the heart of Oswestry. An old 17th century coaching in. We used it as a base to explore the area and the pool/spa was perfect for my son. We had a great spacious room above the spa.

Bad Bob

Its the best casual dining option in Oswestry. Good simple Italian food that is kid friendly. We enjoyed our pizzas and my Chianti by the glass was very pleasant.
