Excellent food and service at The Queen’s Head on the 11th October 2025.
The Queens Head – OswestryGood menu, good food, good service
The Queens Head – OswestryWhat a little gem this place is! 4 friends went here for the first time on an October Wednesday lunch time. No, you know that, if a pub restaurant is pretty busy on an out of season Wednesday lunchtime, it's probably good. We were not disappointed. The food is simply top notch. Between us we had the steak and ale pie, mushroom risotto, roast duck and the paella. All dishes were absolutely perfect. Mine was the paella and it's probably the best I have ever eaten. Loads of shellfish and all perfectly cooked. We will definitely be back!
The Queens Head – OswestryExcellent meal and service. Very generous portions for all meals. Fresh ingredients and lots of flavour. Excellent value for money. There were 8 in our party and all loved our meals.
The Queens Head – OswestryThe Queens Head is our 'go to' for a roast. They offer children's, small or normal portions and this is perfect for our family. Its always so tasty and you can tell it is home cooked. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Wouldn't go anywhere else for good food and value for money.

The Queens Head – OswestryI visited The Queens Head some months ago to meet up with a canal-borne friend. We had a splendid lunch, so it was a natural choice for another with a business friend. He was equally impressed. I shall doubtless be back again.spon
The Queens Head – OswestryWe regularly come here for a Sunday roast, as it's one of the best in the area. Furniture could do with replacing, and decor needs a bit of TLC, but we go for the food, not so much the decor. Always plenty of staff working.
The Queens Head – OswestryFantastic food. Succulent steak and a wonderful seafood platter. All in a nice relaxed environment. Good friendly staff.
The Queens Head – OswestryExcellent meal. Service was first class.
The Queens Head – OswestryThe mussels from the specials board were delicious My companions also their cod fillet with tomatoes and garlic The accompanying station bitter was also extremely good
The Queens Head – OswestryWe have always found the staff very friendly on arrival and quickly shown to a table where a drinks order is taken while we decide on the menu. On return with drinks the staff ask whether we have chosen or need more time. The menu and specials are very comprehensive and unusual in that there is more than standard pub food. The food on arrival was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. I had the gammon with sauté mushrooms and my wife had chicken curry, both meals were good portions and very well cooked. We travel over an hour and have never been disappointed.
