Had a lovely meal at the Queens Head on Sunday , I had a chicken breast Sunday roast, my partner had Topside of Beef Sunday lunch , it was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Only downside was it was very noisy in the conservatory, but that was out fault for asking to be seated in there , there were 2 large parties in there . Staff were their usual happy selves .... We have been going to the Queens Head for many years , food is always good .

Superb food all round for the five of us. My seafood chowder main was really tasty in fact all of the mains were so good we had a takeaway of one of them for mum for following day.! Helpful staff suggesting accompanying split of chips and rice for curry (hot but very flavoursome) . We could fault nothing at all ! Well done team Queens Head

Beautiful setting, scrumptious food, caring friendly host + staff. Sunday lunch was so delicious, I never even asked for my "sharp knife" as the beef was so tender, as was the pork. Varied tasty vegetables, plus all the trimmings ensured our Sunday lunch was superb. Sadly we were too full for the variety of desserts we saw.. a lovely local place, with great value. Highly recommend.

Great home cooked food and pricing was very fair. Could do with deserts on specials board as well as main courses to give more variety. Plenty of ice cream dishes but that’s only great if you’re an ice cream lover.

I haven’t been here for about 10 years, and it hasn’t changed in the decor at all. Very outdated and worn decor and furniture. Could do with a revamp as tables felt sticky due to age: needs either new or sanded down and re-oiling. Food was ok for the money, and quick service; considering there was a party in the other room as well. Overall, I would not go back.

Really disappointed to find that dogs are not allowed anywhere inside this pub. Waitress was unapologetic when telling us they were not allowed in - 'I emailed you back!' Would not have stayed for lunch but we were being treated by our son so ignored the indifferent welcome.

Excellent food. Booked a table for 3 but had to change it to 5 this was dealt with very well especially as it was Mothers Day! Went on the Saturday afternoon as we were checking the area, had a coffee and decided to book for dinner. The food was really good, plenty of it, well presented and delicious to boot. We were super happy as the meal we'd had on Friday evening in Whittington was pretty poor. Sunday lunch was great, we all had the roast which again was delicious and plentiful. My only downer would be don't put gravy on the dinner, I don't like gravy all over my meal, for a roast I only ever have it on beef and only on the meat, for me gravy should always be put in a gravy boat so the diner can use the amount they like and which food part it goes over!

Sunday lunch - 30 March 2025 - was to the usual high standards of both food quality and service. Many thanks.

Food was good, the presentation was great. Only critique the jacket potato was a little dry and the initial meet and greet could be better. Overall a fantastic service and definitely worth a visit.
