The White Hart – PenzanceWe own a couple of restaurants so I can be really picky when I eat out but we really enjoyed this evening. Great pub food which I really could not have expected to be cooked or presented any better. Once the pub filled up it was a great atmosphere and Dee really made our evening by providing really good no nonsense service and made everyone feel very welcome - loved it.
The White Hart – PenzanceFood is terrible and the service is awful. Literally, the rudest people I have ever witnessed in a place of business. Moreover, it lacks the ambiance of other nearby places. Avoid this place at all cost. I'm not sure how this place stays open. I think this place is mostly a tourist trap where they overcharge and treat their customers with astonishing disrespect. Absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. I have never been heckled by a server in a cafe until today. Quite literally, the server tried to pick a fight with me. Definitely not worth the stop unless you want to be threatened and harassed by lunatics.
Kegen Teg – Penzance5 Star Food!!!! The food has always been decent at the pub but of late even more so! We had a very tasty roast though unfortunately it was let down hugely by the service or lack of..... Certainly need to have more staff on during Sunday Lunch especially on Fathers Day!!! (And other special days) If you run a limited staff atleast have them be knowledgeable and able to keep up with the busy workload or simply have more staff on. Food for thought perhaps.....
The White Hart – PenzanceLovely pub, good landlord, good food and good friendly atmosphere. No fruit machines or music…wonderful !
The White Hart – PenzanceCan’t believe I haven’t been before. Great little pub, great atmosphere, great food
The White Hart – PenzanceWould definitely come again. Good food well cooked and at a reasonable price too.
The White Hart – PenzanceI live locally and we had a fabulous Sunday lunch with the family last weekend at the White Hart - friendly, helpful staff and great food - thank you! ☺️
The White Hart – PenzanceSuperb food eaten here many times over the years and the food in particular the meal we just had ( rib eye steak ) was top notch highly recommend . 5/5 in all aspects .
The White Hart – PenzanceOn holiday in Ludgvan so booked in for Sunday lunch. Lovely old pub, great food and good atmosphere with friendly staff.
The White Hart – PenzanceGreat Sunday roast, with nice selection of veg, lovely tats and a good bit of beef. Great spot as well!
The White Hart – PenzanceExcellent value roast lunch with plenty of options including veg nut roast. Good service was also appreciated.
The White Hart – PenzanceLovely old traditional pub. Very good service and food
The White Hart – PenzanceWent for a meal on Saturday 30th March. Food was delicious. We had prawn chilli linguine, Thai fish burger and the Thai fish cakes. The food was hot , fresh and delicious. Loads of prawns in the linguine and the portion size was good, a opportunity to have a piece of garlic bread would of enhanced the dish but that’s a very small item and does not detract from the quality of the food. The fish cakes were very tasty and made a lovely meal with a portion of chips and the salad garnish was so fresh and really tasty. The fish burger with the mango mayonnaise was lovely and different from the usual. The chips were lovely. Hot and a very good portion size. We did not have the onion rings but saw them being served and they looked fantastic. Home made and a really great size of rings. The night we attended there was a gin and jazz event so the atmosphere was very relaxed and the duo singing the jazz was excellent. The drinks were plentiful and a great selection of gin and tonics were available with the sever giving great advice on gin types and the different tonics. Highly recommend the place for food or just a drink. We will be returning.
The White Hart – PenzanceA lovely 13th century country pub full of locals on a Friday evening. Great character and atmosphere. The food was plentiful and delicious. Cheery landlord. Altogether a lovely evening!
The White Hart – PenzanceHave been going frequently for Sunday roast and never disappointed.Very good food, service and atmosphere.Interesting building and completely unspoilt hopefully it will stay that way.Thank you.
The White Hart – PenzanceWe were a group of 7 ladies meeting for lunch. The staff were polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All of us enjoyed our meal which was very good and we will be returning.
The White Hart – PenzanceWent for Mother's Day lunch. Service could have been better, I think everyone was very flustered with the volume of people and it could have been slightly better organised. Food was average. Would not rush back for a Sunday roast in all honesty. Shame as it has lots of potential and could make a real name for itself and locals with a good roast dinner.
