The White Hart – LudgvanTop food, epic pub, lamb shank was 11/10
The White Hart – LudgvanWhat a really lovely pub in a peaceful, idyllic setting! It looks amazing inside and out. It's perfect. Good to see plenty of interesting vegetarian options (not just burger, curry or pizza) and we really enjoyed what we had. Thank you.
The White Hart – LudgvanHad a Sunday roast which was absolutely delightful in every way . The flavours were incredible. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to have another one .
The White Hart – LudgvanWe had a fabulous Sunday Roast at the Engine Inn. The beef was tender with delicious sides of vegetables and gravy. It was easy to park and the Inn had great atmosphere.
The Engine Inn – PenzanceAbsolutely stunning food, lovely staff and great atmosphere. Can only recommend and we will be back soon. Thank you!
The White Hart – LudgvanI would highly recommend the Sunday roast at the White Hart Inn. We all had the super tender beef rump cooked to perfection and agreed it superseded even the best around. The pared down menu reflected quality. The new interior is welcoming, atmospheric and comfortable. On a chilly May Sunday it was wonderful to see the wood burners giving a nice flickering warm glow (but not too hot!) The place was full of life and well worth a visit.
The White Hart – LudgvanWe had a really lovely Sunday lunch here this week we all had roast beef, it was so good! Would definately recommend and will be returning!
The White Hart – LudgvanVery good make over. The food and service was very good. Disappointed we couldn't book Sunday lunch
The White Hart – LudgvanDisappointing. The lamb shank main course was about as minimalist as was possible. The lamb itself was just about OK, but as for the vegetables they barely existed. A tablespoon of potatoes, few shreds of cabbage, and what was more like a garnish of broccoli. No carrots!
The Engine Inn – PenzanceFabulous to see our village pub open again! The food was great. I have a gluten intolerance and as the food was freshly made to order I was told the chef Olly could adapt anything for me, which was amazing! The service was super friendly. We’ll be there again soon for sure!
The White Hart – LudgvanSunday lunch on their first weekend open , and boy , was it good ! Two big slices of beautiful just pink Beef , quartered braised cabbage , cauliflower cheese, crisp roast potatoes and a gravy to die for .... I look for a Sunday lunch better than I can cook myself , this was most definitely it. The redecorated pub decor is understated and relaxed , the atmosphere great as ever when a pub was full ..... we will be back here on a regular basis !
The White Hart – LudgvanWe had a wonderful Sunday lunch. Roast beef was outstanding, super cozy pub with a lovely atmosphere. Service was great! We shall definitely be booking again now we have found this gem. Would highly recommend
The White Hart – LudgvanFirst Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. The service was brilliant, the food incredibly tasty. We don’t mind paying a little more than a standard roast as it was exceedingly good. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked, as was the pork, and so was the veggie wellington. The pub feels clean and tidy, it needed a bit of a facelift and we think it looks fantastic. Look forward to more meals in the future.
The White Hart – LudgvanWe really enjoyed our Sunday lunch at The White Hart. Roast lamb shank was excellent. My veggie partner enjoyed the mushroom Wellington and hopes there will be other veggie roast choices in the future too. Great to have water on the table automatically. Huge quantity of food which mysteriously we both managed to finish. Good wine. Great pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord. The eating area in the old side snug works well. Service was excellent. Well done to all the team. Would strongly recommend!!
The White Hart – LudgvanWe made our reservation months ago, and the day before we received an email confirmation for our September 2025 date. We showed up near 6 and the place was dark, and a sign on the front said 'Tavern Closed, R.I.P.' It is not easy to get a table in Marazion, so this was beyond disappointing, ended up eating outdoors on a chilly night. So my advice is to look at what other places this outfit owns and avoid them, as they clearly don't care about customer service. The cherry on the top was receiving this request to review our visit. Absentee landlords.
The White Hart – PenzanceBooked a table for dinner for 5.30pm, booked this online an hour prior as we had no phone signal to call. Had email confirmation of our table and even recieved an email today asking us to review our visit. When we turned up for our table, we found a very empty pub, one lady behind the bar who asked if she can help, we said we had a table reserved for dinner and her response was "the kitchen is closed, there is no chef as they keep calling in sick, and only found out at 4pm", so I pointed out that I booked online at 4.30pm so they should probably shut off the online booking system, I got a shoulder shrug in response. We left promptly, it was very frustrating as we drove there, got two little ones out the car and then had to try figure out where to go instead. Personally would not bother going back or would not recommend to anyone just turning up, do call and ask for clarification that you can actually dine there.
The White Hart – PenzanceOur Sunday Roast was top class, the Yorkshire Pudding was the best pub Yorkshire I’ve ever tasted in the Uk; don’t know what magic ingredients were in them but I’ve got to get that recepie .
