The food as usual was very fresh and delicious. It is my fave place in Plymouth!

I love this place! it's my favourite restaurant and me and my boyfriend make an effort to come here once a month! the creme brulee and chocolate fondant are to die for and they have a great selection of yummy starters and main dishes. The service is so friendly also. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Had a lovely meal with my boyfriend recently. Am a veggie and get sick of the usual "veggie lasagne or veggie bake" so was refreshing to have a tasty dish of filo pastry with creamy filling, mushrooms and other yummys, served with baby pots. Was very good, oh and really nice wine too.

Although the Dartmoor Union Inn does serve hearty English food in the pub area, its restaurant caters for a more refined taste. Hidden in the small village of Holbeton, hardly noticeable from the outside (we had to ask locals to point out the pub), the place is a gem. Excellent, prompt and friendly service. They serve beer brewed in their micro brewery, visible from the al fresco area. The food is absolutely fabulous. The menu looks classic, but every dish still is imaginative, using local produce cooked of a standard seldom encountered in the Southwest. What a find!

The decor and atmosphere is pretty standard of any Indian restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly. My only comment is that I've been back quite a few times and the manager does recognise us and comes across friendly enough but also quite dismissive.......and they don't seem to reward loyalty. Still the food is good and it is the best Indian I've had in Plymouth

An excellent restaurant friendly staff and the food is gorgeous!

We went to this restaurant just before going to the cinema next door - and it was fab - really reminded me of new york which I have before visited. Loved the toilets where it taught you how to speak italian - made the visit all the more worth while!!!!! Food was lovely with great service. All open kitchens so you can see the food being cooked!

I have been to the China house about 8 times with my husband and we try a different meal every time we have enjoyed every one of them, we have also taken our son & daughter and there partners + grandchildren for a meal the service is excellent and they are very good with the children .

Having tried the other "tanners" i was every bit as impressed with this welcome addition to the Plymouth restaurant scene. the service is excellent but discreet and the range of dishes on the menu will suit all tastes and budgets. modern decor with a relaxing atmosphere makes it a great night out.

We were so excited when Nando's opened in Plymouth! Our children love it and it's perfect for an impromptu family meal. How can I describe it...the menu's confusing, there's some kind of Portuguese/Brazilian theme, but the company is south African...you pay when you order, so you don't get hassled into ordering pudding and coffee, or even tipping- they want you out quick. oh and don't go if you don't like chicken - or terrible puns involving clucking!

What a beautiful location! Came here for a "special occasion" dinner but understand they do weddings too which would be fantastic I'm sure. Food was delicious and had a good wine list, staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was quiet as mid-week but imagine it gets busy at weekends. They do cream teas and bar lunches-sandwiches/soup etc during the day but that is all but you can pop down just for a drink in the bar area if you want which was good. An excellent meal-would thoroughly recommend.

We went to Chloe's for the first time after reading reviews here and elsewhere and I think we've found a real gem. Excellent food paired with a concise, well-chosen wine list and great atmosphere really made a special-occasion meal. We will be back.

it was a good night in Goodbodys

A lovely meal, a set 3 course for about £15 all freshly cooked, the steak was to die for. not a roast dinner/carvery in sight, thank goodness. Try the salmon in a lime sauce, beautiful. The owner was very friendly and made us feel really welcome. a lovely old place beams etc. lovely.

Found this bistro by accident when visiting nearby University.. Over a few days we enjoyed really fresh shellfish and local fish, simply cooked with brilliant sauces. The wines at Bistro One are excellent with stuff from districts I'd never heard of! Like the atmosphere including the jazz. Breath of fresh air on our short visit to Plymouth.

WOW!!! The food here was amazing never tasted anything like it. The service was great too. I will recommend this to all my friends.
