Very good restaurant. Service fantastic. Brilliant thai cooking with a unique atmosphere. Highly recomended.
Thai Palace The – PlymouthTried lanterns out on a Saturday night and it was very busy. Although waited a little while for the food, when it arrived it was very well prepared and was very enjoyable. Found the cost about average compared to others I tried in the area.
Lanterns Kebab and Steak House – PlymouthHighly Recommended, Gorgeous food especially the Crispy Beef. The first thing that srikes you is Antique decoration and furniture in the waiting area. It really gives the impression of a high class restaurant. The staff were friendly and gave the place a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Next to the Restaurant is moderate sized carpark so parking is ideal. I loved the food and the experience.
Wah Tin – PlymouthExcellent thai cuisine, in a friendly cosy atmosphere. Fantastic place for dining with friends or as couples.
Thai House The – PlymouthOutstanding food in an fantastic setting. The 15th centuary building created a fantastic ambience that just cannot be beaten. Make sure you book for a table.
Tanners Restaurant – PlymouthCosy basement location, creates a nice atmosphere. The food was good, complimented by a very friendly service.
Hoe Cantonese Restaurant – Plymouthfresh tasting thai.cuisine. Fresh spices and herbs were gently infused to bring out the best flavour in thai cooking. Highly recommended
Thai Palace The – PlymouthRestaurants in Plymouth enjoy a constant supply of fresh seafood, and this is the best restaurant in Plymouth in which to sample it! The fish and seafood dishes are expertly prepared (never overcooked), fresh, beautifully presented and taste absolutely wonderful. The meat and poultry dishes are also fantastic, and I enjoyed a lovely duck confit there a few weeks ago. The literal cherry on top for me is the deserts-the lemon tart, with its delicious base, sweet crunchy top and rich lemon cream beneath is pure nirvana. If you want to arrange a private function then you should consider this restaurant-the ground floor is a little dated, but upstairs the decor is modern, with a cute 60's retro feel. What more can I say? The waiters are always polite and friendly, and the service is swift, even when you turn up in your scruffiest jeans and cookie monster T-Shirt! Hurrah!
Quay 33 – PlymouthI just wrote a review, but I forgot to say HAVE THE PAUPIETTE DE POULET-yum!!
Cafe Rouge – PlymouthI love Cafe Rouge-the food is delicious, the portions are not so big that you cannot fit in dessert and a boozy coffee without sacrificing your starter (a tragedy!), and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. There are a nice variety of wines to choose from, and I have never ordered a bottle I have not thoroughly enjoyed. The Cafe Rouge in Exeter has a better ambience as the decor is a little nicer, and there are lots of secluded tables if you want a little privacy. However, the service in Plymouth is far superior-the food is served faster without compromising on quality, and the staff are really polite and helpful (especially the waiter with the red hair!). Once, when our first course was a little bit slow in coming we were given some yummy bread sticks covered in garlic butter to keep us going! My favourite dishes on the menu are crab cakes (starter)and cassolet (main course).
Cafe Rouge – PlymouthSuperb food and attentive staff made this a super eating experience. I will be back.
Thai House The – PlymouthNice place, and friendly service. Food is good but not the best I'v had... Good variety.
Ganges – PlymouthThis restaurant should be getting regular mentions in the national press as an outpost of excellent food in the South West. The quality of cooking is absolutely fantastic - everything has been thought about and everything on the plate is imaginatively thought out and very well implemented. We love it.
Artillery Tower – Plymouthwas a wonderful experience
Cafe Rouge – PlymouthA very pleasant find tucked away in Stoke village. Relaxing cafe bar reception area with armchairs etc. Service smiling but a tad casual - the place was busy. Food was excellent, with an interesting range of choices and the rice and chappattis the best I've tasted in a while. Definately not your bog standard Indian restaurant and well worth a visit.
Cafe Indiya – PlymouthIf you want to feel a bit classy in the scummy city of Plymouth then go to Bar Rakuda with its extensive varieties of champagnes and cocktails and during the day its list of delicious cakes and scones.
Bar-Rakuda – Plymouthgood for romantic mealfor two_set menu was good value, crispy duck was excellent
Ocean Palace – PlymouthExcellent for work parties, birthdays etc. always have dancing after dinner!
