Bistro One

A true Bistro. Plenty of local produce cooked simply and well. Seafood we had on our table included Oysters, Mussels, Clams and Scallops all presented with panache. Brilliant cheeses! Top house wines from wine districts new to me. But what we really liked was the "keep it simple" flag they are waiving. I must go back for a breakfast very soon.

Thai House The

I love this place. My hubby and I are regulars; we always arrive at 6pm, no reservation, spur of the moment, and are treated like friends. The food is awesome, I? veggie, but have as much choice as my non veggie hubby. Try the shared veggie starter, its THE BEST! You wont be disappointed..

Café Indiya

When we get a chance to visit family in Plymouth we always stop here. It is modern, full of ambiance and the food is great. We have never been disappointed, my family go there regularly and rave about it! And they are in the restaurant business themselves with a rosette for their food. FAB!

Chandlers Bar & Bistro

The food here was amazing with such a wonderful choice of fresh sea food and sizzling steaks, and being able to sit out looking over the marina topped off the evening.

Chandlers has something to offer everybody from tapas to burgers, to a full a la carte menu, which makes it a great place to eat with a group of friends. A fine choice of quality wines, beers and spirits and its superb location complete the experience.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable evening here for our 15th wedding anniversary, the staff went to an extra special effort to make the evening memorable for us, a personal touch that really made the evening special.

I thoroughly enjoyed our evening out at this restaurant, it was a surprise for my dad's 50th birthday - and I couldn? have chosen a better place! The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious! 10 out of 10 marks for this must visit restaurant!!

Grecian Taverna The

Having dined at this restaurant for well over a decade, I am never disappointed. A friendly atmosphere and attentive staff, plus an excellent choice of menu (the Meza is a feast for two!) make this a good venue for an intimate dinner or for large parties. Booking a must at weekends - when the atmosphere charges up with Hen parties and dancing.

Lorenzo

This is a brilliant place in Plymouth for lunch or a mid-afternoon hot chocolate! The largest and most fantastic around-ask for a bucket and try to get a sofa! The food is lovely, with good size portions. A great chilled out restaurant for lunch or dinner with friends.

Positano

We have visited this restaurant a number of times and have had very good food each time. However the friendliness of the staff makes it the visit worthwhile. They seem to genuinely enjoy and have fun in their job, which as a customer it is a pleasure to see. The staff will offer recommendations on the wine and daily specials which have never failed to be superb, the veal was especially so.

Bistro One

Our third visit to this colourful bistro was made by the quality of the seafood and fish. Lovely original flavours mingle with sweetness and texture. Wines worth a mention with an excellent bin-end selection providing an excellent match to the chosen dishes. A lovely downtown bistro well worth searching for.

Yukisan

We have eaten at this restaurant half a dozen times since it has opened, having eaten Japanese food in Japan, we found the authentic experience of dining in the upstairs dining room a wonderful one. Our martial arts club had a banquet there last night and we were treated royally. MAGNIFICENT, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE TRY THIS BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT.

China House The

We have been to The China House 3 or 4 times and have never been disappointed. I love the atmosphere, as it is a really old building, with lots of cosy corners and uneven floors etc. It is particularly wonderful at Christmas, with a huge floor to ceiling tree. The menu is above average pub fare, very well - priced and always served promptly. There is quite a good wine list and the staff are happy to recommend a bottle. I haven't sampled the Christmas menu, but it reads very well and again is competitively priced. We live in St Austell, but would definitely be regulars if we lived nearer. Richard & Helen Boyle

Yukisan

Very good introduction to Japanese food, we were able to sit in the 'Japanese room' upstairs which you have to request on booking, made it a really different experience. Don't go there if you like feeling stuffed after a meal, go for a romantic 'on the floor' dinner with some amazingly, delicately prepared food. Service was good and with a smile. Teriyaki Beef and sea bass are excellent choices. The sushi was far better than the offerings at M&S, yes, kind of pricey, but worth the money.

Eastern Eye The

Very pleasant, could not fault it on any thing and the staff are very friendly.
