Fantastic meal, wine and view on a sunny spring afternoon. Definitely worth the visit.

Relaxed atmosphere, staff lovely, nice comfy space.

The place is lovely and food is great, the people are polite! HOWEVER, we ordered a Meze for 2. The menu had no mention of pre order, or not able to order at weekend. It DID say not all item may be available. We were told chef did not do Meze on Saturday evening as it took a long time. We were upset as I booked 3 months in advance for a 50th birthday. 10 minutes after we ordered an alternative dinner, a couple sat next to us, we did not hear them order BUT, when their food came out it WAS clearly the Meze. We then asked them if they pre ordered and they said definitely no, they just ordered normally. We spoke to staff who basically (in a polite way) said tough! When you ordered the chef said no, 10 minutes later he said yes!!! There was no real apology, no offer of drinks for free or a free dessert to say sorry. Its such a shame to leave bad comments when the food is so tasty, but we really felt picked on, and the two people who DID get the Meze, kept apologising, and said they thought we were treated dreadfully.....

We had a lovely meal. Lots of choice for vegans so we were very happy. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely tasty tapas in a great waterfront setting and excellent service.

Lovely friendly quick service and the food was lush ,we have been here before and will continue to visit and the view is a bonus!

My family came in on Sunday, there were 7 of us and we had a mixture of roast dinners and regular menu. The food and service was fantastic. We will definitely be returning.

Really really good food we had a table for four people not a single one of us left without saying how delicious this food was. The service was prompt staff friendly. Would definitely return and recommend

Booked for an evening out for my husbands 50th. Gorgeous place with beautiful sea views! Food is amazing - fantastic choice of dishes and all of them were gorgeous! Service was brilliant and staff were so helpful. Had a fab evening, and will definitely be back!

We visited the day before Valentine’s so it was relatively quiet. Despite that the staff were friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere in this small gem of a tapas bar.

Lovely! I went to maritimo for a tapas evening meal for the first time on Valentine’s Day and enjoyed the experience. The food was beautiful and flavourful and everything you’d want from tapas. Me and my partner shared 6 dishes and desert and were pleased with the portions and value for money. Our servers were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning in summer to sit on their terrace with wine and some patatas bravados and paella! Would 100% recommend

Below is the letter I sent to Maritimo after our lunch there yesterday, together with their confirmation of our booking. "We came at 12.30 today. You had not kept us a window table and I felt disappointed and upset. My niece was over from Australia with just a day in Plymouth. I chose your restaurant to give her a view of the bay. As you will see below, you had no other bookings when we booked. I know you said you could not guarantee it; however, your downstairs window tables were free, although the room was cold. You should have reserved an upstairs window table for us and given the later bookings or walk-ins the choice of going downstairs or taking an inner table upstairs, which is the choice you gave us on arrival." Great food at prices so low for Tapas I thought they had undercharged me. Wine very good and nearly all of it available by the glass. Friendly and efficient service. Look forward to going back.
