I am very pleased to say that the staff and food never seem to fail. The weekend just gone I went with my fiancee to celebrate being together for 7 years. The quality of the whole experience was what it has always been and I will certainly start to visit as a regular customer again. These guys are great well worth it for good food, value for money and the friendly staff make a very pleasant evening. Enjoy!

First time visit and a re renovation programme was well advanced. Still slightly bemused by the upholstery. An excellent sandwich, though ,even if the bar service was a little surly.

We went for Mother's day,the food was very good, and the atmosphere typical italian,for me Gennars is the best Italian restaurant in the area.

Without doubt the best Chinese I have ever visited. The food is good the service excellent Children are treated like human beings and not just ignored, I cannot speak too highly of this restaurant.

The food at Gennar's is average.The service is average. The decor is average. In fact, everything about Gennar's is average. However, average is just not enough in the current economic climate. In order to survive these tough times, Gennar's needs to provide something more than average because, unfortunately, average takings won't be enough to see this potentially good restaurant through the tough times ahead. Average is simply not good enough anymore.

I’ve never been to China Red in Poulton before, and to be honest I’d never go again! It was a friends birthday, and she booked a table for 8pm. We got there on time, but we weren’t even seated till 9.15pm. NO Exaggeration. We ordered, and our starter came between 10.15 and 10.30! Now if waiting OVER 2 hours for food is not bad enough, our starters were pretty much all wrong! One person ordered noodle soup…we overheard they got the order wrong, and it was vegetable soup…10 minutes later it came back out with noodles in, and cold. One person ordered prawn toast, it had chicken in! The worst is a vegetarian ordered vegetarian spring rolls…it had meat in it!! Well that was it…we spoke about not being happy, and we managed to get 20% off the bill, only to be told that it would be best to just have a free round of drinks! Again we weren’t allowed to get anything too expensive! In the end we just gave in….The waitress who was trying her best, was getting in trouble from her boss because it was her fault that the food was late/wrong! But it wasn’t. I know this as she went through the order twice to make sure she got it right! It was his fault, because he didn’t have enough chefs or whatever. This is the worse place I have ever been to! The food wasn’t even worth the wait! And I would tell anybody not to spend their money there! Everything was poor!

Whenever you are ever in the vicinity of Poulton-Le-Fylde, near Blackpool, China Red is a must visit restaurant if you enjoy good Chinese food. It is a fun place with a lively bubbly atmosphere, the food is excellent and the service and staff are first class. The restaurant caters for special occasions, party bookings, couples and families.

This has to be the BEST Chinese restaurant in the Fylde. Cannot fault anything about this place from the welcome to the leaving, nothing is too much trouble for the staff who ensure everything is done to make your dining experience the best it can be.

I must say that I am very surprised no one has wrote about this chippy the last time I visited this 14 yrs ago it was run by 3 brilliant people Maz, Dot and Les surprise, surprise in August 2008 when we returned to this site they are still running this chippy serving brilliant non greasy food their puddings are to die for all in all the cheapest and best chippy not only in Staining but in Blackpool and what characters the two girls are (sorry ladies!!!) and that's being kind. Your friendly customer and neighbour from Wigan, guess who??????

I would consider myself something of an authority on kebabs having eaten them all over the world. I can assure you 95% should be avoided at all costs. The Cyprus however, make their own donners (in-house) with choice cuts of lamb, no bread or crap and they are so good they may very well change your life. Stunning !! chris

Awful ! Feels like sitting in a work canteen, food very small portions, over salted, overpriced :-( Won't be returning again.

Went to Gennars for the first time last night and was very impressed. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was lovely. I will definitely be going there again very soon!

8 of us (including 2 veggies) were looking for somewhere nice to eat out last weekend. We came across this great looking venue on the web. But unfortunately only 1 of the 15 mains was suitable for veggies. not really a great choice in this day and age. So went to Guys Thatched Hamlet instead....lovely food - great choices including many vegetarian options.
