Fantastic deli - great tapas evening of Friday's. Food of the highest quality. Really enjoyed all my visits.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeMade my first visit here recently with a couple of friends on a Friday Tapas night. Had heard many wonderful things about this place from other friends so tried it out for myself & it was in fact fantastic. Decor was beautifully quaint. Food was excellent. Had one unadventurous/fussy eater in our group & even she loved it & has been raving about the place ever since. Food all made to order which is why previous recommendations may have mentioned service being slow. But the service is in fact polite, attentive & very welcoming. Will be returning again for further Tapas nights & also will try their breakfasts, lunches etc.. too.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-Fyldei wasn't very satisfied with my meal, to much onion? should of called it onion curry instead of chicken service with a smile wouldn't go a miss, one complete con
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeRecently organised a surprise birthday party here for my fiance's 40th. He & his friends are regulars here as they say the food is very good. I must agree with this & the service is also good. However when it came to booking the venue the staff & owners were very unhelpful, never getting back to me, constantly changing things, being very unreasonable about prices... I booked the whole of the upstairs room but they tried to cram in 2 tables of strangers that they had double booked! And most unforgivable of all, moved some of the place settings, without telling anybody, just before the guests arrived! So people who didn't get on ended up being sat next to each other!!! Despite having to argue with them on the night, which was very unpleasant as it was stressful enough (& they were making a fortune out of us, far more than any other Fri night - so it was pure greed on their part), the night ultimately went well & as stated before the food was gorgeous & the service was fast. They also cleared up all the decorations afterwards which was helpful. Would recommend for a meal but not for a party!
Maya – Poulton-Le-FyldeThis is an excellent place to eat breakfast, they have specialist evenings, and the sandwiches to go are delicious. Probably one of the best places to eat in the Fylde area actually. The only points to note are: the very small capacity of 4 squashed tables and the service that is horrendously slow, to the point where you may wish you hadn't bothered.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeAt last a Subway in Poulton. Far better than other local sandwich shops, as they are prepared to order. Once you've had a Subway, you know you've had a meal.
Subway – Poulton-Le-FyldeMy partner and I made our first visit to Salt of the Earth today. The deli/bistro has a continental rustic feel to it. Mishmash decor and furniture add to its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu was varied and included a good amount of home produced fayre. We decided to opt for the lunchtime special menu consisting of home made chorizo & lentil soup followed by crayfish & avocado sandwiches. Our meal was of very good quality and the restaurant is absolutely worth a return visit.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeAs a party of four we dined at the Shard Riverside last weekend (May 2010) and were pleasantly surprised at the friendly atmosphere, excellent service (the staff could not be more helpful) and the quality of the food served. We all had a different main meal from the wide ranging menu and no one was disappointed. Therefore the Shard comes highly recommended.
Shard Riverside Inn – Poulton-Le-FyldeThis is a really nice authentic Thai takeaway. They do have a couple of tables aswell and seats in the window, but we always take it home because the kids love it too.
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeI love this place, authentic Thai food and restaurant with great atmosphere and if you cant get a table at the weekend you can take away.
Mews Thai – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe used to frequent the Deli regularly before moving to Oz. The Deli is great, bags of atmosphere, and the food they make is excellent. How I miss their floury baps! Have tried recreating in Oz but not managed it yet.. if anyone has the recipe let me know!!! Thoroughly recommend Salt of the Earth.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeOrdered here about a week ago. Great menu, gorgeous food albeit cold and had to be warmed in the oven, the main trouble was that near the end of our takeaway, one of our guests found a FOOT LONG BLACK WIREY HAIR in the rice!!!!!!!!!!!!!! trust me,it wasn't one of ours,it was mixed in the rice!!! Surely, chefs need to wear a hair net whilst preparing food for the public. Sorry but although the food was nice we will not be using suda thai again. John
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeVery disappointing. Food was ok, but nothing special. Ordered the Red Duck Thai, and got Sweet and Sour Duck. Phoned to complain, and whilst not receiving an apology they did offer a complimentary main next time. They also told me the wrong time, so my mate was stood around for 20 mins. All of this could have been avoided if they employed someone to answer the phone who could speak and understand English. Will go to Thai by night next time!
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeTruly superb Thai food. Having spent 14 years living in Thailand, I can say that Suda's is the best Thai in the north of England. I have dined at all the local Thai restaurants and nothing compares to the food served here. It is advisable to call in advance at the weekends as they are really busy. Highly recommended.
Suda Thai Cuisine – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe went end of last year to mark a friend who was going to Spain to live. have to report that the experience at China Red was much like being in a school diner ..so much noise and very poor service apart from being asked all the time... WOULD YOU LIKE MORE DRINKS?? Guess by the prices charged for these you are really paying for all you get. WOULD NOT GO AGAIN.. NO WAY THIS RESTAURANT IS TOTALLY OVER RATED
China Red – Poulton-Le-FyldeWent for Tapas here on Friday night. I can't tell you enough how fabulous the food was - very authentic home cooked tapas. Inside its like you're sat in a small back street Spanish restaurant - very rustic, truly wonderful.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeYou really must try this fab takeaway it is truly superb everything is cooked fresh we recommend the duck red thai curry . well done Tim and all her staff mal xxxx
