4 of us went for a meal today. Service and food was good. The salad I'm told was boring, but everyone's mains were fine, and the restaurant looks great, and isn't smoky anymore. I will be going back.

We eat out a lot and this is probably the best Italian restaurant in Poulton if not on the Fylde Coast. The food and service is excellent, the fillet steaks are fantastic but if you want traditional Italian the pastas and pizzas are equally as good. A Fantastic atmosphere. We can't get enough of this place. Thanks Gennar and the team! 21.10.07

I have never had such bad service as I have from the staff and the manager of this restaurant. Firstly we received a diet coke which was flat and replaced by another which was also flat. When i complained about this I was told that everyones was the same. Then when the main course came out my partners sweet and sour chicken was tiny. about four fork fulls in fact. When I complained about this I was told it was on the specials menu and therefore a small portion. It was in fact less than half the size of mine. When The manager then said the portion was fine we just thought it was small because my partner is pregnant and 'eating for two'. finally they tried to over charge us. If you like tiny portions and being insulted by restaurant managers then this is the place for you, if not, then give china red a miss, I know I will never go back.

this is a friendly clean well run village pub which i would recommend to anyone driving through the village of hambleton, it is situated on the left as you drive through the village, with a very large car park to the rear, they also do a excellent Sunday lunch but don't arrive at peak times as it gets very busy custom from locals and passing trade, better to arrive just after lunch, as they never seem to run out of food. My rating is 4star +

I visit this restaurant very often, and I cannot get bored of the atmosphere, service and over all food. The staff do everything they can to get me a table, booked or not. I couldnt ask for a better restaurant in my area.

This is a great place to go at weekend. The food is always good, the service is quick and unobtrusive and it feels like a happy place to be.

My friends and I are regular visitors to the Cube and the only reasons are the atmosphere and the food. The service is terrible! But, I have to say it doesn't stop us going in for lunch many weekends! Some weeks they have waitress service but the waiters come to the table about 20 minutes after you have sat down and usually ask you if you want to order food not even reaslising we haven't even had our drinks order taken yet! Some weeks they abandon waitress service and leave you sat at your table like a fool waiting for someone! Then other weeks you approach the bar to order your food and drinks from there and they tell you its waitress service and ask you to sit back down and wait! A little complicated but we are used to it! The other thing pre 1st July was their smoking policy, some weeks I was allowed to smoke others then I was asked to sit somewhere else and I was advised that it just depended on what members of staff were on at that time! Then the usual order is that the drinks take forever as Bar staff are not trained on the art of pulling pints at the same time as sorting other drinks and doing the till etc (in my experience multi tasking should be on your CV if you are a bar man/woman) Then the food arrives but not always at the same time! In general we are just used to it now and most of the time too tipsy to worry ourselves too much, but we do always make sure that if it has gone really wrong then we tell them. You may think we are mad to keep going back but the setting and the food is what makes it, oh and the possibility that one week it will all go really well! My advice to the management there if you are reading this is to train your staff in customer service oh and how to crack a smile now and again!

Mews Thai Restaurant

Lovely restaurant, my partner and I are of the younger generation of 20 and love the restaurant. Cannot put a fault on it and the food is outstanding.

On reading some rather mixed reviews of this long established on sugarvive.com I think I should offer the views of a regular diner at this restaurant and many others both within the Fylde coast and further a field. I have dined at The Mews possibly every couple of months over the last seven years. I have never experiences a restaurant of such consistency, never having experienced a bad meal in this restaurant, my own mood dictating the level of enjoyment. The service levels meets expectations, for all able bodied customers I highly recommend sitting at a "low table" or "on the cushions", these are large low tables which can seat from 2 to 8 people, wear something comfortable. You may experience some initial discomfort, but, kick your shoes off ! In my experience those at the "low tables" are generally the last to leave the restaurant. The food is very good, the wine list is acceptable, the ambience - especially on the "low tables" is memorable. The Thai Mews in my opinion offers excellent value for money, I highly recommend the "Combi Starter", especially if you operate a "swapsy" policy with your fellow diners ! This and a substantial main course, selected rice and noodle dishes are unlikely to cost more than £20 per head and with wine from £8.50 per bottle this restaurant offers excellent cuisine in comfortable surroundings without snobby prices.

Now then, a restaurant that is ya granny's cafe by day and a Thai restaurant by night is a strange and endearing concept. Having said that the food here is proper top-notch and fresh as a daisy (not on the menu) and if you are lucky you will get to sit down on the floor in the upstairs part Thai style. Admittedly I once sat on a well hidden prawn wanton from an early Mews reveller and it played havoc with the fibres on my Diesal jeans however it came out in the wash as the food is so fresh. Much recommended and take ya granny there too.. she might appreciate a change from a scone!! Bojo Boris x

I love Jade garden. I dine there on special occasions, but use take away service regularly. This is not a fast food restaurant. It's a special, personal service with excellent food. You will feel pampered. You aren't hurried and the staff make your evening special. That's worth paying for! Can't wait to go there again!
