Went as a group party of 28 people, and took the offer of the Banquet and drinks for £24.95. Amazing food and drinks, top quality service, and needless to say we are about to take 40 people again. 5 stars for everything.

food was amazing, already had high expectations when we came but the food and service exceeded that. we live in Manchester but it was well worth travelling a short distance to feel like you're on holiday eating at a tapas in Spain. the atmosphere and staff were friendly and with a large menu you cant go wrong, will definitely be going back soon!!!!

I have been several times and have enjoyed my past visits to such an extent we have recommended the place to friends. However, we visited last night (10/12/11), taking some friends, making a group of 6. We were disappointed to be imposed with a 10% service charge as there were 6 in our party - this type of discrimination is unfair - I mean, where is the difference in serving a table of say 8 guests, or 2 tables of 4 guests each? Anyway, when we tried to mention it to the boss, and complain about an element of the food, he was very unhelpful. I for one will not be spending my money in there again!

The decor is ok but not very tasteful, a bit confusing. The service is exceptionally poor. Only the head waiter can take your order, which delays your ordering, so once he's taken your order he goes off for 5 minutes to punch in the order in the till!. He doesn't apologise for this, and he's not very customer focused, more concerned with the till receipts. The rest of the staff are employed to bring food and taking only drinks orders. Drinks were delivered very slowly (10 minutes). I thought the food was good although the two ladies I were with thought it was poor compared to other Tapas places. I thought the ribs, chorizo were good. They thought the meatballs and ribs were fatty, the chicken was dry, the stuffed peppers were overpowered by cheese. In summary I think the the food was good, they completely disagreed with me. But the service is shocking, with the owner clearly wanting to be in total control but unable to keep up.

I try all the take away and restaurant in the area I must admit they have some thing different. The food is absolutely delicious, me and my girlfriend ordered two different dishes, I ordered xacuti which is a totally new dish for me never heard before in any Indian restaurant but I really really enjoyed it. Specially the service is excellent. Staff is very friendly during all the time in the restaurant we were looked after very well and the owner personally came to us to make sure we are well served. I would recommend raj durbar to all my friends because it worth going there. Thumbs up to raj durbar.

I loved this venue, however my evening was ruined by the management asking the band to leave after only half a set. If you book a band on the weekend of Leeds/Reading and Pride and do nothing in the way of advertising the event then you cannot expect a packed crowd. The night got even worse went the management tried to rip the band off causing an embarrassing confrontation in front of the bar. Like I say, nice venue, shame about the clueless management!!!

i would recommend anyone trying this restaurant , the people who run it and the owner , put you first , my fiance at the time , had a meeting with the owner , and they arranged flowers , wine on ice , chocolates , and a big red heart balloon , all for me , as my now husband now , got down on one knee , and proposed to me , thumbs up to north street for their help , and service with that xxx

Terrible attitude towards children. If you wish to be glared at whilst you run up a bill of £60 within 45 mins then dine here. Really dreadful. If you wish to eat Greek dishes deemed as tapas then you have found it, humus and taziki.

Now this is not a recommendation,we ate at the place and it was terrible. What we couldn't understand is that people had recommended it and we couldn't understand why. The starter that we had was not fully warmed. The main course tasted like it was from Tesco and the restaurant seemed to be run by kids. We saw no sign of any obvious Italian staff in the place. On the plus side it must be said that the place was clean and although the staff were youngsters they were helpful polite and attentive. There were other people dining in the place (about 2 tables in all) and we wondered if these people dined there regularly. We on the other hand will not be returning as we wouldn't like to take a chance it might ruin our night. The meal on this occasion certainly did.

Called in for a Meal on Sunday 29th May 2011 and we both decided to try the £8.95 offer, the service was good and the food was both delicious and plentiful. We didn't have any Alcohol but ordered 2 teas. Tea consisted of 2 small cups at £1.30 per cup. Would have been nice to have had a teapot. Our only gripe was that we had plenty of food left over and normally a restaurant are happy to let you take it home with you. We asked to take it home, but we were refused!! being told "its not the restaurants policy to take food away". Such a shame as we would have gone there again and we even offered to pay for a doggy-bag. Needless to say no tip offered.

I have been to this restaurant about three times, on my third visit i am sorry to say i will not be returning. The food was good but the prices of drinks was not. We were over charged for drinks and also they added a cover charge of £15.00 on to our bill which has never happened before. This was supposed to be a good value for money restaurant and it has become very over priced. In this current climate there are such a lot of restaurants out there doing great food and great prices. I'm sorry this restaurant is not one. I could of gone to Harvey Nichols in Manchester drinking champagne and been served by a five star michelin chef and my bill would of been cheaper.
