What can I say 1st time going with my husband and daughter as i saw a post on fb so we decided to check it out, so glad we did. Staff were amazing couldn't fault at all very polite wasnt rushed, the food was beautiful thick cut meat, roast potatoes better than mine the Carvery we had. We will definitely be qcoming back best Carvery we have ever had . Thank you!!

We visited on Monday night. The pub was quiet but we were put in the conservatory which is nice but too dark. The carvery has a good selection but it’s look warm. The meat was cold the veg wasn’t much warmer either. It’s good value for money just a shame it wasn’t enjoyable to eat as it wasn’t hot.

1st visit for my best friend's birthday. Cod& chips were excellent & good value too. Others in our party had the carvery and were also impressed with the quality. Desserts were basic but good. Service was friendly but became slower as it became busier which is understandable

Just recently started to use this pub as my go to place for a carvery but my experience may lead me to go elsewhere. Trying to eat my meal while seated by an open window is not ideal as your food goes cold quickly. Paid for my food at the bar and the staff momentarily lost my ticket. On ordering my dessert and waiting 15mins for a simple order while the place was getting quieter had to ask where my order was and no-one knew my order had been placed. Order turned up 10mins later as what I can only describe as a shambles with custard dripping down the side and the apple and berries crumble had no berries in it. It was so small it was made for the borrowers I think. Pricing doesn't reflect what you actually are getting as a service so need to find a new place to eat I think. Don't normally complain but feel I need to on this occasion.

Great food as always. Brilliant service, especially from Kerri and Heather.

We hadn't visited for a while so thought would return. Easy to book table online. We ordered soft drinks at the bar to be told they had no ice so drinks slightly warm. We visited the carvery counter and chose the beef. We were given two small slices which was a lot less than previous visits. A good range of vegetables. Our evening then interrupted by a disturbance with a couple of other visitors. A little bit disappointed this time.

Very very busy Sunday at peak time. Carvery queue went down quickly. Friendly staff.

My husband and I booked for a carvery yesterday (Sunday 24/08). We have been before and enjoyed it and this time it didn’t disappoint. The carvery is excellent value for money, with so many options and a great vegetarian option. The team are friendly and inviting. I would highly recommend booking as it gets extremely busy. Please don’t be put off by the queue for the carvery as it moves quickly! Looking forward to coming again! Thanks all!

Bloody gorgeous carvery as usual and the lot eaten by the kids every time!! Staff are always so friendly and helpful and food top notch!!

Best carvery about, meat is lovely, veg, mash and stuffing but whole lot was good, but one recommendation roast potatoes, are like Aunt Bessie's, home cooked would give the wow factor but overall lovely and will return.

Lovely carvery as always, friend has pork Yorkshire pudding wrap which she said was lovely.

I used to visit years ago but stopped because the food standard started slipping ,but I have been 3 times in the last 2 weeks and the carvery has improved vastly I like the idea of the smaller plate during the day older people don't eat so much and it's cheaper.shout out to the lovely lady on carvery dished up my carvery then as I use a walking stick, brought the food to my table.thank you
