It's always great to come back to Armando's for a family celebration. The food (especially the sea bass & Dover sole), the drink & the hospitality are superb. We'll certainly be back!

We wrote a review two years ago & we can still heartily recommend Armando's. The menu is extensive & interesting & the prices reasonable. There are always specials on the board & we particularly recommend the fish. I don't think we have eaten better fish dishes anywhere!! We hope Armando will stay in North Shields for many years to come.

This is a fantastic place to eat with an amazing selection of main course which are some of the best tasting food in the north east for italiano ,I eat a lot and have been around britain and I am not joking when I say this is one of the best places I have been,great staff and prices make this a must for anyone in the area..happy eating

We have eaten in this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The staff are efficient and friendly and the food, especially fish, is terrific.We ate sea bass a few weeks ago which was superb. As a resident of North Shields we hope that the chef never deserts us!

We have eaten in Armando's restaurant many times before and we recently had a family party there for 15 people.The food we ordered ranged from pasta, pizzas, steaks and fish. We were pleasantly surprised that all the food came together, was hot and tasted fresh. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone because we found the quality of the food and service to be outstanding.(10/10)

Armandos , provides North Shields with some much needed class. The entrance and staircase to the restaurant is to be considered nothing short of clean and tidy. Pre meal drinks can be taken in the small bar area which is also very clean. The service at the bar is outstanding and you get service with a smile. The tariff is very reasonable to say the least and they keep a decent pint. The waiters( quick & polite) 9/10 The Menu pulls no punches. Quick, simple and informative. Its what to expect from any Italian restaurant. The wine list is acceptable although a little unspecialised. 8/10 The food we tried potatoes skins, Greek salad, linguine de mare absolutely rate the chef 10/10 We have eaten in the river cafe (London) and you know what? the food was of a higher standard at Armandos than it was at River cafe. What makes the food even better is that you get good value for money. We have never been to such a reasonable priced eatery where the cooking standards have been so high. (Presentation)10/10 (Standard of Chefs Cooking) 10/10 I would recommend Armandos to anyone. Simplicity goes a long way and Armandos oozes simplistic class overall I would say the owner has got it right (9.5/10) p.s the toilets are immaculate.
