Visited Arti yesterday evening ... shame to hear the last reviewer was disappointed, since my fiance and I explored the south Indian and gujarati tasters. Having spent my childhood in India, i was surprised to find the food tasted just as good as back home. The service was good, pleasant waiters ... the restaurant was very busy with both floors filled, so there is some allowance to time lags but the staff were very tentative and pleasant reassuring us the whole. the food came out fresh and warm and best of all the Dosa's were fantastic. It truly is a great find, no doubt we will be returning soon considered we've just moved into the area.

Although we arrived at the peak of business we were made welcome and served with drinks immediately. The menu was clear, extensive and the best designed I have ever come across. Any queries were dealt with expertly, south-indian was exquisite. restaurant is spacious and we were not constrained in any way. The food was unimpeachable in quality, taste, and presentation. Portion sizes were just right and I left feeling completely satisfied but not over full. We were asked if everything was alright at each course and the owner was a delightful chap. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try true indian cuisine.

I would never recommend this restaurant, the owner was ruder than anyone I have ever encountered in this trade! The food, except one dish was not special and disappointing. My mobile also went missing and turned up somewhere I had not been? I was held responsible by owner. It was a terrible experience.

Arti are currently doing gujrati Thali, very simple authentic indian foods, that i have ate for a long time. For only £7.95, can't go wrong, when i am in leeds this is my local.

very poor standard of food and service at the chapel alleton branch! normally an excellent place but charged more for veg dishes than meat - got drink orders wrong and claimed chicken served was so cheap it was cheaper then veg!! DISAPPOINTED!

My favourite Indian cuisine in Leeds. Very friendly serving staff, always able to fit the menu according to ones taste. Excellent food. Hotel Food has never tasted so homely ever before. Highly recommended.....go and get the experience yourself.

VERY BAD SERVICE!!! I came here for the first time. We arrived at 19:00 and had ordered our drinks, starters and mains all together. To begin with, it took the staff a good twenty minutes to acknowledge we were there waiting to be seated. Once were seated, the staff took half an hour to come around to our table to take our orders. Our drinks had arrived and then we waited. I thought, maybe with it being a Friday evening we should be more considerate. Ok, so we carried on waiting...45 minutes went by and our food still had not arrived. I decided to ask a waiter and the reply I got was absolutely most shocking! He replied, "Ask somebody else, I am too busy." I looked at my friend and we couldn't believe what he had just said! I asked various members of staff and each time I received nothing. The staff I gather have not been trained adequately. They seem out of focus and hard to understand and meet good service. On a few occasions, they would become nervous and walk off. The service was very poor and ridiculous. I looked around and a lot of people were sat there, waiting ages for their food. We hadn't even had our starters! By 21:40, we got up and left WITHOUT PAYING FOR OUR DRINKS. I wished the family sat next to us good luck, as they would be in for a long wait. We walked out and the staff did not stop us, which is a surprise as we didn't bother paying for our drinks. The customers were looking frustrated as I looked around. I felt sorry for the next customer who walked in. Believe me, this place was extremely bad. I cannot comment on the food as I didn't have the chance to have any but the service was the worst ever by far! I ended up going to Tesco up the road and bought myself a curry! Good luck to the ones who are planning on visiting!

Bad service bad attitude, felt like they dint want us. Got told by staff that they were too busy when we entered, then once we were seated the manager told us we could not order any mains as they had ran out???? Had to leave, disgusted....
