I have read good reviews about this place and have to strongly disagree. The service is awful, they employ young kids who don't have a clue. The whole time we were there, they didn't ask us once if everything was ok with our meal. My husband got soup and didn't even get a bread roll! When I mentioned this the waiter just mumbled something and walked away. I was so appalled by the staff in the restaurant and the snotty woman on the main reception, we didn't even leave a tip. Avoid!!

Compliments to the Chef! We went to the Gourmet night last Friday, and had an excellent 5 course meal with wines with each course. There was a harpist which gave a lovely background music, beautiful views and superb food. The wine expert introduced the wines to go with each course. We didn't stay at the Hotel but I wish we had, they had a special offer of just £20pp B&B, but we had already booked the taxi, which we needed after 5 courses and 5 wines! The next one is in October, we will be going back!

The best meal I have had in years. Friendly and efficient staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. They will also do anything possible to make your meal an enjoyable one. The food was tremendous I had tiger prawns to start and chicken in a Thai green curry sauce for main both superb. An Excellent restaurant with a unique view over Liverpool and the river Mersey.
