Remora is the home of Indian and Bangladeshi village cooking in Liverpool city centre. The family run restaurant is on South Hunter Street, just off Hardman Street near Cocoon and the International Inn. The menu is helpfully annotated with spice levels and you can also customize each dish, increasing or decreasing the spice level according to your taste. You will find all your curry house favourites alongside a good seafood and vegetarian selection plus House Specials that are close to the family’s heart. These include the Remora Special, a dish created by father (and head chef) which is an intensely flavoured combination of chicken tikka, lamb tikka and luscious king prawns. The Bangla Lamb is a classic Bengali dish prepared just how mum does it a home – on-the-bone and slow-cooked. There is no alcohol served but you can bring your own (as much as you like) for a £2 corkage fee or choose from a good selection of juices, smoothies and lassis. Remora has a special midweek offer too and does takeaway, collection or delivery.
