Burger and chips and a scampi hit the spot on a cold winters night. Good pint of ale to wash it down with. Great fireplace and a very good looking restaurant area. The Crown Inn at High Newton is a superior pub.

Popped in for lunch on saturday after visting Yew Tree Barn. We were impressed with our meals. A rich sheperds pie and Cullen Skink washed down with a pint of Loweswater. The young lady who served us was friendly and efficient. The only complaint was hand cream instead of soap in the gents which made my hands more greasy than before I went in haha!

Stumbled across this place last night. Great looking pub with Olde Worlde charm even though it apparently has just had a refurb. Very friendly staff and the food was good too. Shame it was so quiet, so go and give them some custom!
