We visited The Harwood on Monday lunchtime. Living only minutes away, I hadnt been for years to eat there. There were two of us and both were very very impressed indeed ! The decor is very smart and elegant yet welcoming and the food was excellant. I had the Thai Fishcakes and was impressed that the flavours were bold and intense - he who must be obeyed had the Pie of the day which was Chicken & Mushroom and also delicous. Both were obviously prepared on the premises and though the menu is fairly bog standard good British Fayre - the flavours are cetainly not bog standard. We are planning our next visit already - Can't wait !

Ate here last Sunday - 2 adults 1 child (six years). We had the Carvery, and found the food excellent. Roast beef and Roast potatoes done to perfection. Bill was 37.00 (with drinks), a bit more than expected but worth the money. Would eat here again
