Second time we have been here, New Years Eve and Valentine’s Day, both very good. I’ve recommended it to friends already. Good prices and good food, service was good as well, we we’re served by the same young lady on both nights and she was very efficient and polite.

We went for the Sunday roast and were not disappointed . We started off with French Onion soup and cod croquettes - both of which were delicious . The main meal was exceptional - I had the roast lamb which was presented on a bed of carrots and swede mash - the mash was the best I have ever eaten - deliciously sweet. The roast lamb was tender and tasty and it was all served with roast potatoes , a selection of green veg and Yorkshire pudding. My partner had the roast beef which he raved about . This was probably one of the best Sunday roasts we have ever eaten and would certainly return to try other things on the menu.

Tasty Sunday lunch with friendly efficient service. Portions sizes were perfect and food was ‘ a bit different’. Enjoyable experience which we look forward to repeating.

Only second time I have eaten here but each time the food, service and atmosphere has been excellent. Is definitely going to be a place I revisit more now that I’ve found this little gem in Ashton on Mersey ‘s village

Enjoyed a lovely evening of fine food and wine. The Fat Loaf is a local gem providing a quality menu and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are all friendly, polite and happy to answer our queries. We will definitely return.

Just love The Fat Loaf!! We’ve been going for years and it never disappoints. The food is fantastic with a great wine list and they make a mean g&t. Tim, Teresa and the whole team have everything spot on. They are friendly and have time for everyone whilst providing a great service, even when they are really busy. We rate it that much , we booked it for a private party last year and all our guests loved it too.

Wonderful atmosphere and the most lovely food and choice. Nothing is too much trouble ! Great value for money ticks all boxes. Would definitely recommend.
