Was passing and noticed this chippy. Had a fish supper, good value and tasted great. Will definitely be back. Nice shop too, just done up. Quite classy looking. Staff were friendly.

EatnJoy – EdinburghJust had the best lunch in a long time, delicious food, great service from Dimitri and his daughter, and even better fantastic prices
Omorphia Taverna – GlasgowOur family stayed at the Crieff Hydro the first weekend in May. We were all extremely impressed and surprised at how good it was. It is a huge property but runs like clockwork. The Crieff Hydro is particularly good if you have kids as their creche facility is first class. This allows the adults to enjoy the fine restaurants and spa facilities without their screaming bairns. All 3 restaurants were excellent, a fine dining option, a brasserie and pizza and pasta joint. Service was friendly and professional. Incredible to think the hotel has 500 staff and it all runs smoothly. Will return and will recommend to others.
Crieff Hydro – PerthWhat a find! Comrie may sit in the midst of the glorious Perthshire countryside but it’s never going to win a prettiest village award. So our expectation weren’t terribly high as we strolled around looking for a spot of lunch. But we stepped through the doors of the Royal Hotel and it literally took our breath away. What a beautiful place it is, more like an upmarket French auberge than the pub we were expecting. The food was very good too and in fact the whole place was so impressive that we came back the next day for Sunday lunch with my mother.
Royal Hotel – PerthHave been on three occasions and it is simply the best Chinese food I've eaten. The soft-shell crab is out of this world. The building and the decor is quirky and whilst the service is a bit haphazard and slow, this doesn't take away from the experience. It is a guaranteed booking whenever I am with my daughter (9) in Edinburgh. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Karens Unicorn – EdinburghSeriously old fashioned. Dining like this surely a thing of the past - the dining room is silent except for whispering at adjacent tables (but easy to hear if interested!). The three course meal is set and served exactly when the kitchen says so - not exactly either relaxed or exciting. However the food quality is of a standard to be expected from a named chef - but making a set meal, served when the chef decides (for six covers at an April weekend) is not exactly pressurised cooking. Final comment - don't expect the usual hotel breakfast (size etc) if staying overnight - the haddock and poached egg portion size was a joke!
Boath House – HighlandsWe find Guilianos the best Italian restaurant in Edinburgh. We had our Golden Wedding celebration there and also my 80th birthday there. The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you. We also go with our family and on our own at times. First class.
Giulianos On The Shore – EdinburghBeware of reheated chips at opening time ! Any other time food is excellent. Shame they do that to save waste. It kills a good name.
The Victor Fish Bar – DundeeMy partner and I attending a family wedding at Cameron House. Stunning location on the shores of Loch Lomond. We stayed in one of their cabins that reside behind the main hotel. The restaurant was a great experience to and has top chef Martin Wishart at the helm. Loved the staff uniforms too, very Scottish with a contempory twist.
Cameron House – GlasgowAwesome hotel with a great restaurant. Enjoyed a wonderful break away there recently. Will return and hope to go NYE too.
Cameron House – GlasgowSpent Hogmanay at The Scotsman and the North Bridge Brasserie is the hotel’s restaurant. We ate there on two nights – standard a la carte meal on the 30th and the six-course banquet on the 31stand were impressed. The hotel was created out of the old Scotsman newspaper offices so of course it’s packed with the building’s original features, the restaurant being no exception. It has both a bar area and a brasserie plus a mezzanine level with tables too. Friendly staff and efficient service. Recommended.
North Bridge Brasserie – EdinburghHad a light lunch here at New Year and it was a great spot to escape from hustle and bustle as the city built itself up for the big Hogmanay celebrations.
Hadrians @ The Balmoral Hotel – EdinburghI think the ‘Caley’ is probably my favourite of Edinburgh’s luxury five-star hotels. We had a relaxing lunch on New Year’s Eve in the atrium here and were lucky to get a table without a reservation. Just a gourmet sandwich and mineral water but a great place to sink into the sofa and people-watch.
The Caledonian at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel – EdinburghThe Logierait is where the food is good, the atmosphere is good, the staff are excellent , in fact the whole ambience is welcoming. It's the place which makes visitors to Scotland yearn to return. My husband and I never miss an opportunity to spend an evening in the Logierait whenever we stay in those glorious mountains.
The Logierait Inn – PerthI love this place the food is amazing!!!
Viva Brazil – GlasgowDavie, who runs the bar is a smashing lad, but unfortunately his pub has gone right downhill, he's lost a top bar man in Jamie and failed to recognise his loss, he's filled it with girls who lack the charisma required to make a bar work, and the standard of the beer has gone downhill, other bars in Broughty Ferry are better than this pub I'm afraid, Davie the owner has other interests now it seems and his pub is in decline, was a good pub now not a place I'd go to in a hurry, advise avoid.
DOC Ferry’s Bar – DundeeA delightful, friendly pub in a super location! On the coast road from Port William to Glenluce, we passed it several times and then called in at 6pm on a Thursday evening...the owners were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Good home cooked food at very reasonable price. Sat in conservatory overlooking the bay...lovely! Will def call again next time in the area!
Cock Inn – DumfriesFirst class food
Elphin Tea Room – Highlands2 courses for £16. Available Monday to Friday until 7pm.
