Late at the Dome when I stayed in Edinburgh 2 years ago. It is undoubtedly the best restaurant I have been in. The food was delicious, well-presented and there was nothing that wasn't excellent. Service was excellent and there was a cocktail bar where we had a few very nice cocktails. I plan to go to Edinburgh in November this year for Christmas shopping and I will definitely be dining in the Dome.

I ate in the buttery for the first time a year ago and was absolutely blown away by both the food and the service. I have been back twice since and let me tell you, if I could afford it I? eat there every week!! I? recommend it to anyone, especially for a special occasion.

We certainly had good food, had lovely starter but my beef was distinctly average, especially at nearly £25! Probably being slightly unfair regarding the ambience as it was a quiet Thursday night but the restaurant felt rather cold, lacked character. The service was very good though, and I will probably visit again in the hope that it was an off night!

A fine family run pub/restaurant in the heart of historic East Lothian. Fantastic walking country and always a warm welcome in the Inn. Weekends can be busy but the quality is always the same. One of the few remaining family run Inns. The last Inn before you reach the Scottish Borders towards Duns. A great sponsor of the East Lothian Robert Burns Connection.

Balbirs Restaurant – Glasgow

This is the kinda thing I was talking about Charan Gill, restaurants being in the form of mini palaces. Balbir is running amok in the west end catch him if you can.....:-)

Lovely food of very high quality. Service fairly quick even when busy. The chips cooked in beef dripping are to die for!!!

We went for lunch and we thought it was a fantastic place to eat. The atmosphere is chilled and relaxing during the day. The music in the background is funky and adds to the experience rather than preventing conversation. It was a very mixed crowd, mixed in terms of age and background, but Bluu is clearly a very trendy bar at night. The menu is varied and the food was lovely. The Ciabatta was slightly too toasted for the sweet chilli sandwich that we ordered though... The service was efficient but we didn't feel rushed. The place was very clean and tidy and I? definitely go back for an evening meal.

Boteco Do Brasil – Glasgow

Excellent service and very good food. Liked the feel of the restaurant and the locale. Highly recommended for a quality eatery outside the city centre.

This was one of the best restaurants I?e have ever been to. I had a perfect dining experience and the most amazing meal that I have ever tasted. It was the lobster ravioli and i think it was perfect in every way. I will certainly go again if I ever happen to visit Edinburgh.

I have to say this restaurant is in the wrong place it should be in a upmarket area like London. The food was just outstanding went in the place with a group of my friends, we we served by a cheerful young waiter with glasses (specs) not wine glasses, he was very good at explaining to us about the banquet which we all decided to go for. And we didn't regret it one bit , what an excellent choice of food and the selection and quantity was outstanding. We will be back.

The "Grill" at Tiger Tiger is a standalone stylish restaurant experience serving steaks, salads, burgers and grills until late and provides a fresh forum for private banquets. Staff are fun and friendly whilst service is pleasurable. The best night out you can get!!!

Mansion House – Glasgow
parlix

Still unbeatable as the best Thai food in Edinburgh so far...I have looked for others as I like variety...however the Thai orchid comes up trumps and I can't recommend it enough. Staff are cool, the girls pretty and efficient without being overwhelming and the food is authentic and unlike many other Thai restaurants is Thai. So if in town this is the obvious choice.

I love this place. Its away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The food is delicious and they give you a generous portion. The staff can? do enough for you, it? clean its tasty and its on your doorstep. What more could you want??

I love curry and usually frequent my chosen few restaurants throughout the years. First time visit to Balbirs was on Friday trying the banquet for 2 . Next restaurant I am going to is this one. It can't get better than this!
