Lovely birthday lunch with friends- lunch menu was good and reasonably priced

Excellent meal - could not fault any aspect of this meal in terms of quality and quantity it was delicious. Only "fault" was the house was in insistent we ordered all courses at the same time and paid in advance ("we want to cash up the Restaurant Till") which gave us a feeling of being rushed (it was only 07.30 and 2 other people dining), otherwise all good.

Had an delicious ham salad here with friends on Sunday afternoon. Ham salad was not on the menu we wanted but we asked the waitress if it was possible to have this and she went and checked and came back and said we could. So 5 ham salads ordered and very much enjoyed. The staff were excellent and we were particularly impressed with the lovely smiling German waitress. She was such a lovely person and couldn’t do enough to help us. The rest of staff were very good too I must add. Looking forward to our next lunch date. Thank you all and complements to the chef(s).

Superb food - the best fresh Orkney ingredients like lobster, scallops and beef, but inventively combined with Korean elements. I used to have to fly to Edinburgh to get food this interesting - delighted to have it on our doorstep in Stromness. If you're expecting classy surroundings to go with the fine dining this might not be for you - but for me the feeling of being in someone's living room is all part of the experience. Book well ahead - it's small and fills up quickly. And make sure you have the yuzucello with your dessert!

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package and the fixed menu had lots of choice and the quality of food and service was very good. Would definitely recommend Cronies restaurant.

We were met just inside the door by a very friendly waitress. There was also a homely coal fire. We were directed to a table and our coats were taken to be hung up. Service was very cheerful and efficient. I had soup followed by beef, the food was excellent. The price is good considering how good the meal was. That's the 3rd time I have ate there since they opened in June 2022. Very good every time, I highly recommend it.

Lunch again on Sunday with a guest from overseas and as usual it was fine. My friend always now suggests the Ravelston House when we meet on his periodic visits. The menu is the usual suspects with a Sunday roast added, but it is none the worse for that. I also have occasion to attend club functions there, and I cannot fault it for food or service.

Had lunch with friends on Saturday 5 th November beautiful meal friendly staff and lovely surroundings would definitely recommend.

Interesting and varied menu with regular changes - food excellent. Staff helpful without being intrusive.

The warm reception, beautifully presented meal, sensational service all combined to create one of the most extraordinary fine dining experiences in my life time. We were celebrating the fiftieth wedding anniversary of our friends and the pudding with candles were presented with theatricality and pizazz!

High tea was great value for money . Steak pie was delicious . Service was friendly and fantastic. I would recommend that this is the best place to eat in Stirling .x

Went in after the racing at Musselburgh and as we were staying the night there. Great hotel and restaurant was good too. Meals were throughly enjoyed and the fish was huge! Two courses for £15 and the service was great. Modern and welcoming.

We dined with you last Saturday. Everything was excellent. Your staff were super and attentive. The meal was excellent, we had salt cod, squid, rump steak & aubergine and all was so splendid that I simply had to have your Frangipane pudding which was of course superb. We will be back again when we next get over to Orkney.

I simply love this wee eaterie. The food, the service, the location, the ambience everything is just fantastic! They deserve success. What a wonderful asset for Stromness.

Myself and a pal were in glasgow for work, we booked in for a steak and must say it was good.. had bang bang chicken and prawn starter was very tasty . Myself and 4 mates intend to come for steaks end of November hopefully its as good.

Such a lovely, welcoming venue. Dinner with my son was delicious. He had the steak pie I had the tortellini we were both very happy with our choices and even happier when the delicious dessert - strawberry, meringue cheesecake arrived! The staff were excellent friendly yet discreet- ideal. Would highly recommend this restaurant and definitely return next time in Stirling.

Relaxed intimate dining with friendly attentive staff. The raw scallops were delicious. The broth with the lobster dumplings was truly exceptional. Really looking forward to trying more of the menu in the future.
